Bertha Pickens This weekend, 9/14/24-9/16/24 I took my husband to the ER on Saturday and also had to return on Sunday. I want to say we had the best care by everyone both days. Both ER doctors, Dr. Braxton and Dr Wiggins took very good care of my husband and took time to explain all the things to us. We are very grateful. All the nurses and other stuff were also very nice and helpful. (I dont remember all these names and I dont want to leave anyone out) but Thank you all so much! Next, he was admitted after a long day on sunday and we went to the 3rd floor. We want a special shout out to Amanda Hardin, one of our nurses on Sunday. She was awesome! All the others were great too but she went above and beyond to answer all our questions and concerns. Also, a big thank you to Dr Davis for an awesone job on my husbands surgery as it was a late night. This was definitely not our 1st visit to Baptist but it was one of the best!!

Jane Doe Giving this two stars instead of one, because my miserable 5 day stint at this “hospital “ was only made bearable because of the outstanding critical care nurses. I came through the ER with a very high fever, a rash covering my lower extremities, a bad headache and delirium. I can’t even remember much from the ER, but my spouse told me that the staff performed a lumbar puncture on me. This would be the first of three! I was then admitted to critical care where I laid in a state of semi-consciousness for 5 days. In this time I was seen by an infectious disease physician who gave me the run around as to why they couldn’t determine why I was ill. Only that there are “over 4k viruses” and narrowing it down wasn’t going to be possible. My brain had swelled and my optic nerve had burst in one eye, but before I left, they made sure to send someone in to give me a memory test in which I was given the answers when I couldn’t recall. The hospitalist was an absolute joke. She had no clue as to what she should do with me, nor could she answer my husband’s most basic questions regarding my care. My husband had to tell her that my vision was impaired because not once did they bother to ask about my eyesight. So, I was sent home with a prescription for migraine medication and appointments to see the ophthalmologist and follow up with my GP. I highly suggest that, if at all possible, go somewhere else if you need a diagnosis and relevant treatment. Our healthcare is definitely broken in this nation and needs a complete overhaul from the top down. I pray no one else has to suffer as I did and still do from this “condition”. Sadly, I’m probably not alone. Do better for your community, Paducah!!

Paige Curtis I scheduled back to back appointments for both of my kids a month and a half ago with Dr. Gonzales. They are new patients, so I was told that I would need to change the PCP on their insurance card to him. No problem. I went ahead and did that. Well now it is a week before the appointment and I called just to ask some general questions and the front desk girl was very rude and said that we were in fact not seeing Dr. Gonzales that we were seeing Dr. Brown and would need to change my kids insurance cards again to reflect Dr. Brown’s name. I explained the situation and the front desk girl would not let me get a word in and rudely said that if I didn’t get it changed that I would be called to reschedule their appointments. If it wasn’t for my daughter needing shots, we wouldn’t even be going next week. We will be going to the one appointment and never be back. Not a good first impression at all.

Meagan Brundrett Texas Health Doctor’s Office I’ve had a consistently frustrating experience with this office and want to share so others are aware. First, they make getting refills for prescriptions unnecessarily difficult. You are required to see the doctor for refills, but getting an appointment is nearly impossible since they’re always booked a month out or have no openings. This creates a huge inconvenience for patients who need their medications regularly. Additionally, they do not inform you in advance that they don’t accept cash payments. During one of my appointments for a medication refill, I tried to pay in cash, only to be told they don’t accept it. I was instructed to leave, get a money order, or visit my bank to put money on my card. This lack of transparency adds unnecessary stress. The front desk staff are another major issue. They are consistently rude and unprofessional, which only adds to the frustration of dealing with this office. Lastly, even after finally securing an appointment, they will not send your prescription to the pharmacy immediately. I had a 10:30 AM appointment and was told that they don’t submit prescriptions until 5 PM, which makes it nearly impossible to get to the pharmacy before it closes. Overall, the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and inefficient processes make this office extremely difficult to work with. I do not recommend it to anyone needing regular medical care or prescriptions.

Steve Kennedy They took care of me quickly at ER last year. Sewed up my cut hand and all was well. Excellent staff, nurses, and doctor. I posted this because I saw all the bad reviews. Typically happy customers are just happy and don’t post.

Mamma Bear Herron I was in there last night and they took great care of me. It took hours and although I got a little frustrated and was going to leave the Doctor immediately came into my room and saw me. After that test, bloodwork and x ray. I was given what I needed and discharged. Before coming keep in mind that this hospital is a small one and serves ALOT of people . There is going to be a wait time and there is lots of senior citizens coming in and they have priority as they should. They work amazing as a team and the small dark headed lady that is the physician that saw me runs it so smoothly! I listened to them work together as a team and discharge or admit 6 room in about 10 mins! It was cool to hear. Because these people are always working hard behind the scenes.
