HOTWORX - Greenville Nancy Martinez: Disappointing Experience with Hotworx Membership Cancellation Process. As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I reached out to Hotworx to notify them that I needed to cancel my membership because these workouts were no longer safe for me. Unfortunately, my experience with the cancellation process was frustrating and disappointing.
Initially, I was informed that I could only cancel my membership in person. I was also told that I had paid several months in advance, so I would either have to wait until the prepaid period ended or pay to freeze my account. Given that I wouldnt be able to return for a while due to my pregnancy, I explained my situation.
I went in person to cancel my account. At that point, I was told I could have canceled over the phone—something I wasn’t informed of earlier. To add to my frustration, I was then told I would be charged a $99 cancellation fee.
Overall, my experience was highly disappointing. The communication was unclear, and the process felt unnecessarily complicated.
