5 /5 Jenny N Sterling: I only trust Wendy at the Texas Artisan with my original engagement ring enlargement. She has more knowledge about jewelry than the most reputable jewelers in California. It was worth the drive from California to Texas. My ring has so much sentimental value that it could never be replaced, so I needed to make sure it went to an honest and trustworthy jeweler. The craftsmanship is flawless. It really takes skill to make such a big change to a ring and yet have it look just like it did the day I got engaged. My ring went from a size 9 to a size 12 and it looks perfect. You cant even tell it was enlarged. Being as careless as I was with my ring in the past, I wore it to wash dishes and clean and it was pretty dirty. Wendy told me about the medical grade cleaning she did on my ring and...WOW...now it really sparkles ✨. She even did a rhodium dip to keep my white gold brilliant. I am so happy - words cant even express how happy I am to be able to wear my wedding ring once again! Wendy even gave me tips for proper jewelry care (priceless info that cant be googled). I knew I went to the right place. Did I forget to say how happy I am?

I was charged like $142 at Segner’s to have it repaired, even though I was not engaging in any harsh movements or activities, I would have hoped they would’ve stood behind their own craftsmanship better, absorbing the cost; but it is what it is!

Jim Nabholz: We spent some time in The Texas Silver Rush during a visit to Fredericksburg. Chatted with the owner off and on while we were there. He is very knowledgeable about the different kinds of turquoise and other materials used in making his jewelry. Nice and wide selection, from small to large pieces, the overall quality is very good. Its a fun place to meander through and check out the inventory. They sell a lot of jewelry out of this store, so the inventory is always changing. We didnt pick up anything this visit, but well stop back by again. Its fun to look! LOL

Dominic Mokry: SCAM! BEWARE! Went to Fredericksburg for my birthday and saw some cool knives in their window. Decided to go in and treat myself to a nice present. The salesperson told me the knives were $190 and that he could sell them to me for $130. In hindsight I should’ve already known that it’s sketchy. He told me the knives were made in Arizona and that I could look up the maker to see for myself. I really wish I had checked right then and there. He ended up selling one to me for $120. After I got home I decided to look up the knife and to my dismay found out that the exact same knife is being sold by the manufacturer for $28 with free shipping. I felt so ripped off and of course they have a no return policy. After this experience I would never feel confident buying anything there ever again. Horrible that people in what seemed to be a respectable venue would take advantage of people like that.

I first bought a custom initials ring from them at the Houston livestock show and Rodeo a few years ago and was heartbroken when I lost it. Well for my birthday today I decided to make the trip to Fredericksburg to get a replacement. After hearing that we had driven from Houston just to buy a ring from them they offered to wave the sales tax as well as include a free cleaning cloth. She also offered water and snacks for the drive back. I had a great experience and the hospitality as well as the quality of the ring made it well worth the trip. My wife and I can’t say enough about this place. If you want an authentic piece of handmade Texan jewelry then you need to look here!
