1 /5 Tonp Paul: HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE – Final Draw (Cancelled Membership)
I’ve been a member here for many years, but things have gone downhill badly. Most of the amenities have been removed or are constantly broken. The bathing suit dryer was taken out a long time ago, and the jacuzzi has been unreliable for over a year — especially the main "massaging" jet, which rarely works. When it’s fixed, something else breaks within days.
My final experience sealed it. I paid $20 for a guest pass to use the jacuzzi (which is pretty much all I use there, since I work out elsewhere). Within seconds of paying, I saw the sign saying the jacuzzi was broken again. I immediately asked for a refund, but Chris Carlile (Sales Manager) refused, even though he had just told me earlier he would refund it if there was an issue. When I called him out for poor customer service, he decided to “teach me a lesson” by not honoring his word.
I even tried calling back later to resolve it politely before leaving this review, and disputing my credit card and emailing corporate -but no luck as he is avoiding my calls.
Crunch Fitness opens in a few weeks — I strongly recommend checking them out instead(its literally across the street)(. At least there, customer service and working amenities might actually matter.
Thank you, Chris, for teaching me how to dispute a charge and write reviews — I never write them, but this time I had to. I hope u can do better to the next person.
I will call BBB on wednesday when i have more time, and I recommend you do as well if you have any grievance with this particular LA fitness.
