5 /5 Ashley Juarez: I had a membership here for the entire time I lived in El Paso (about 4 years). I love all the owners—they’re good people and easy to talk to. I typically like to keep to myself because I’m awkward, but they’re so kind and approachable that it was easy to become friends with them. There’s plenty of equipment to use, even when someone is doing supersets; I mean, there’s literally so much equipment.
As for the “old” machines, that’s what I liked the most. The gym has an old-school vibe, but the machines, although some “old”, serve their purpose and work well. I used them all for years.
Regarding the price being “too high,” I disagree. I compared monthly and yearly membership costs with a variety of gyms, and this is by far the most cost-effective option. The only other alternative would be a membership at Planet Fitness, paying $10 a month but dealing with a 30-minute workout lasting 3 hours because you have to wait for equipment to become free. I didn’t have to worry about that at Impact. If I’m ever back in El Paso, this will be my gym again.
I also worked with Rob, he was my trainer for years and he was awesome! I truly accomplished so many goals working with him and strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a trainer. He has an office inside of the gym. It was very helpful to work with him as he didn’t only schedule my workouts but also educated me constantly on nutrition and why certain workouts are beneficial for my goals. Rob is truly an excellent educator/trainer.
Overall, the gym is solid, owners are awesome and the equipment is of such a large variety - perfect for any kind of workout you have planned. Whether you get the month to month membership or get the annual membership the cost is very competitive.
