Yelper Lou MC: I came to Amped Fitness at the Gessner location out of curiosity because a new gym for only $14.99 a month with no contract. I used the free trial membership to check it out and I kind of like this workout floor. But I was wondering how a new gym got machines out of order so quickly. The locker room is weird. Shower was narrow and had no place for soap.

Ala Ben Otman: I have to edit my review, it seems like they have fixed the issue and now there are sanitizing wipes everywhere so all good. Original review : This new Crunch Fitness location looks great on the surface — brand new equipment, nice layout, and plenty of space. But the hygiene situation is unacceptable for a gym that just opened. There are never any wet wipes, paper towels, or sanitizing spray available for members to clean the machines after use. That means you often have to sit or touch equipment that’s clearly been used by someone else, which is disgusting and unhygienic. While the grounds and bathrooms are not filthy and don’t smell bad, the lack of basic sanitization supplies makes the whole place feel poorly managed. Even in the restroom, there are no toilet seat covers, which is disappointing for a new facility. This isn’t just about comfort — it’s about health. Studies show how dirty gyms can get: • FitRated’s study found that free weights can carry 362 times more bacteria than a toilet seat, and treadmills and exercise bikes often harbor similar levels of contamination. (CleanLink source) • A 2014 microbiology study published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health found that gym equipment surfaces often contain bacteria associated with skin and respiratory infections. (NIH/PMC study) In short, even a clean-looking gym can be a breeding ground for bacteria without proper sanitization protocols. Crunch needs to provide wipes or sanitizer stations at all times if they want to be taken seriously about member safety and hygiene.

gentle olive: Nice gym to workout. It’s spacious, clean, and the staffers are cordial and very helpful. One major problem is that I see the staff at the front desk take unergonomic postures due to how low their desk is. This should not be so. I hope the management of the gym sees this and does something as soon as possible, to avoid staffers developing back pains. Other than this, everything else is perfect.

jalal aburas: I’m pleased to state this is the most clean and organized gym I have seen . My wife has been a member for over 8 years , my son used to attend religiously as well and also worked there his name is Ali , but I never attended myself till today . The staff that they have at the front desk are just amazing , polite , and professional. The trainer Anna David in the cycling class is just amazing . The class was fun and full of energy . The equipment is top notch and well maintained. Finally the staff at the front both welcomed members and nicely said thanks for visiting us . Dynamic is definitely the best gym in Houston and I will definitely come back again ! My entire community will be now notified about the outstanding service that this gym offers .Keep up the great work and take care of your staff !!
