Golds Gym Austin South Central - Austin
Golds Gym Austin South Central
Ethan Cordes: Probably the worst run gym I’ve ever been to. I am not exaggerating when I say these pics were all taken on the same day. I ended up walking around seeing how many out of order signs I could find like it was an Easter egg hunt. You can probably still go in there and the out of order signs will all still be there, no matter what date you are reading this. The WiFi is unusable. The sauna is broken half the time, the refuse to fix anything. Been here for a year and a half and I think it’s finally time to switch. I have asked them many times to fix stuff and this is where we are at now. I went to LA fitness down the road and it’s 10x better so now I will try to bring as many people from golds to LA with me before I cancel my membership out of spite. They either don’t have a manager or they are wildly overpaid because they are never there. Sauna is always broken and is never even very hot anymore, they never fix equipment when it breaks, hours could be better. One thing I will say though is that personal trainer Daniel is dope. They should give him a raise, because he is the only good thing about this place. Don’t go to this gym (unless you want a personal training session with Daniel).
RvE Fitness - Austin
Monje Paul (Yield): This location provides premium gym equipment in a clean beautiful atmosphere. Dedicated rooms for strength training, pilates, boxing, aqua aerobics, yoga, cycling, massage, cardio and a private training studio. It also has a pool, hot tub as well as a dry and wet sauna. Towels are provided for members. Large locker rooms with showers that provide all essential showering products. It is a very well rounded facility providing everything you need for optimal health and wellness.
UT Recreational Sports Center - Austin
Justin Busby: Great facility with tons of courts, weight rooms, racketball and more.
Planet Fitness - Austin
Planet Fitness
Tahsir: This gym is well-maintained and very organized. It has everything needed to do great workout with. Since the first day I came to the gym, I knew this was perfect one for me. The Judgement Free Zone makes it worthwhile to go to. For any residents in Austin, this is by far, a great one to visit. With Alexa and the rest of the spectacular crew members, this gym has an enlightening future ahead.
F45 Training Hilton Downtown Austin - Austin
Katherine Snyder: Such a pleasant F45 experience while using the Passport feature during business travel. Trainer Eddie was awesome and everyone in the studio was friendly. Same great workout I get at my home studio in Denver. As others have mentioned, this is on the 8th floor of the Hilton and the signage to find it is great from the time you enter the lobby until the time you reach the studio. Totally recommend for anyone else using Passport while in Austin

C Lucia: I’ve been a member here for a few years now. I’ve slowly seen the decline. Broken machines, jacuzzi dirty and looks greenish, rusted handles. The sauna was just upgraded and no rubber mat was put back in. I ran in after my swim session and nearly burned my feet. Now I take flip flops everywhere. The floors need a good power washing along with the showers. Today one of the benches had dirt and sand and I notified the lady at the front before I even did anything. An hour later it was still there. They really need to step it up.

LA Fitness
Spencer M: Update: this gym is permanently closing 11/4 apparently. This was a totally decent and affordable gym until very recently where a ton of equipment was swapped out for older and worse stuff. Machines that had never had any issues were removed and instead we have this clearly weathered machine with no safety pin or clamp or anything. Many other machines are like this, with a number of the replacements breaking within days of being brought in. Most of the Lat pull down machines and a spotted rack were removed with no replacement at all. I’ve been coming here for years with no complaints but this is enough to get me browsing nicer gyms in the area. Bring the good machines back please! Or at least replace them with similar quality… I’ll update my review back to five stars when the gym is nice again…
Kollective - Austin
Brandon Cao: The Kollective on South Congress is one of those rare places where fitness meets true community. The coaches and staff are incredible, knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely invested in everyone’s progress. You can feel the positive energy the moment you walk in. The location could not be better with plenty of parking and easy access, making it super convenient to get a great workout in. The recovery and co working areas are awesome and make it easy to relax, reset, or get things done before or after training. It is more than a gym, it is a place where people push each other to grow and show up as their best selves
Régimen Fitness Studio - Laredo
Naila Garza: They offer so many services and have a variety of classes! From Spinning, mat pilates, and strength classes—there is something for everyone! The instructors are also the sweetest and are always open to ask any questions you have! I recommend to anyone that has experience in the gym or has never experienced class fitness before. Regimen is super beginner friendly and welcoming to all people. ♥️
ROCK Fitness Center - Laredo
Dj Antonacci: Solid gym with a great floor plan of machines and free weights. They have a variety of machines for just about every muscle group and plenty of benches to go with the free weights. My only 2 complaints: 1. The dumbbells are a hot mess! It’s easy to work around this, but when 1 person refuses to read the sticker that says 50’s and they put the 20’s there, it’s just a domino effect after that. So may the odds be ever in your favor when seeking your proper dumbbells. It’s similar to a game of where’s Waldo. 2. I called ahead 1 time and I spoke to a front desk clerk about my situation as far as my length in Laredo - 10 Days. Both times I was told the same thing as far as my 10 days for working out. I could use a 3 Day free trial, and then buy a 1 week/7 day pass. This was perfect for my situation! The reason why I gave them 4 stars is because they falsely stated the criteria of the 7 day/ 1 week pass. This in return made them charge my buddy for an additional week, when he still had 3 days left on his first 1 week pass. He purchased his pass on 7/27/23 which should have been good until 8/2. However, on 7/31 they said he needed to renew cause the 1 week pass is only good from Monday to Monday.
