Zales - Amarillo Kylie: The first time I went to Zales, we bought this ring and received it around July 15th. After about 10 days, the opal cracked. I was very busy and wasn’t able to get it checked right away, and later the opal actually fell out. I finally brought it in on August 23rd.
When I went, the associate told me my warranty didn’t cover lost gems and suggested I order a replacement stone from Amazon since they didn’t carry any in store. He even gave me the exact measurements, so I went ahead and ordered one. Once it arrived, I returned to have it fixed.
However, at that visit I was told I shouldn’t have purchased the stone (and should return it), because they wouldn’t be liable for it. Instead, I was told I’d need to replace the entire ring and buy a new warranty to have it repaired.
Although the staff were always kind when speaking with me, the lack of clear communication was very frustrating. Unfortunately, I don’t see myself buying from Zales again. I expected much better, especially after hearing so many good things about the company
