5 /5 Lily Hutchins: In January 2025, I was a newbie at CrossFit SDA—barely surviving workouts, modifying nearly everything, and not-so-secretly Googling what “AMRAP” meant.
SDA has completely changed my fitness journey. The coaches are endlessly patient and encouraging, and somehow they’ve turned me into someone who actually wants to go to the gym. The community is everything—supportive, welcoming, and just the right amount of competitive.
After years of inconsistency and self-sabotage, I’m stronger and have more endurance at 38 than ever before. I need fewer modifications, more moves are Rx, and now I’m only mildly gasping for air during workouts (progress!).
I’m also proud of how far I’ve come in how I see myself — stronger body, healthier mindset, and a newfound bravery when it comes to mirrors, cameras, and clothes.
