5 /5 FitQuest70: Anytime Fitness on University Drive in McKinney, Texas, is gym #49 on my FitQuest70 journey from Sacramento to Texas, and it’s a perfect 5/5. This place is incredibly clean, with spray bottles in the restrooms for members to wipe down surfaces, though adding paper towel dispensers plus fixing a burnt-out light in one of the showers, could be a consideration. The layout is excellent, with plenty of machines and free weights that don’t feel cramped, cardio equipment lined up by the windows for a great view, vending machines, seating areas, a community board, and a studio for classes. Everything’s well-organized, and it’s hard to find any flaws.

2 /5 Eriana Williams: The gym itself was great and Im referring to the equipment and cleanliness but in my opinion the staff and managers make an experience really what it is. I had to cancel my membership because a friend of mine wanted me to workout with them at their gym. I had called to cancel my membership at this place and was met with extreme attitude by the front desk guy ( Dustin Gautreaux) and disrespect. I first found out that they swindled me into a TWO YEAR CONTRACT that I never agreed with and they dont even offer online (which is how I signed up). When I mentioned it they brushed it off by saying I agreed to that which I did not I signed a (ONE YEAR contract). No gym in their right minds even offer TWO YEAR contracts for one and for two he was talking to me like I was illiterate and didnt understand what he was saying. We didnt solve anything that day so I went in person the next day to cancel and once again he had an attitude and rudely asked me what gym I was moving to , which is none of his concern to begin with. I was already upset with the rudeness he presented on top of him asking questions that dont pertain to him instead of just canceling my membership. I had to pay out of my membership which is what I was expecting but his professionalism is garbage. If you need to speak with a manager, try someone else.
