I always book my waxing appointments with Chantel, and she consistently goes above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and at ease. Texas Girl This cute spa is located in the beautiful Stanton House hotel. Their boutique includes some clothing, organic skin care items, jewelry, and other great gift items. I checked in for my appt, and I was shown immediately to the lockers to leave my things. The lockers do come with a key you carry with you in your robe pocket or around your wrist. They have a steam room you can relax in prior to your appointment, but they ask you to take a shower before you get in. They have a couple of showers and 2 bathrooms to change into your robe and slippers. The relaxing area includes 4 chairs in front of a tall lighted salt wall and a small area to serve yourself water and light snacks like trail mix, oreos, and cheez its. My masseuse called me in right on time and suggested I try cupping. It really loosened my back and calves up! I wont lie, the movement of the cups on my calves hurt, and I probably wont opt for cupping again! The massage room was dim and quiet with relaxing spa music, and the table was heated, so I stayed nice and warm the whole time! I went back to the rest area to wait for my facial. The facial went very well, and I felt very comfortable with my esthetician! The flat table did kind of bother my back, and no blanket was offered to keep my feet warm. But that didnt take away from the great experience I had with the facial. The esthetician explained every step she was taking and always asked how I was feeling throughout the process. She was very nice and professional. I paid for my services and left. However, when I got home, I got a notification from my bank of an additional charge for $50 from the spa. I saw the receipt on email, and they had went ahead and charged $50 they had forgotten to charge me for dermaplaning and put a straight line across as my signature. I didnt like how they didnt bother to contact me first to let me know they had not charged me for a service or at least gave me a heads up instead of just charging my card without me being present and not letting me sign off on the charge. Not professional at all, in my opinion. I did like the services, but I do not see myself going back because of the way they handled the forgotten charge.

Justine Santiago I went for a Threading service and I have to say, that I got the most best and polite service. Amazing work and loving person and dedicated. Amazing Service definitely would recommend. I loved how she left my eyebrows and very kindhearted staff. 5 ⭐️

Lluvia Gaytan Jennifer is amazing! I went in for eyebrow threading and i have never been more satisfied in a service before. She takes her time, is careful, and precise which is something i struggle finding in any other threading places. She helped give my eyebrows shape. She also made it very painless which is a plus! She is very talented in this art.10/10 would recommend her.

Miguel Angel Villalobos My respect to everyone except to Cecilia. I came to cut my hair and when I arrived home, I noticed I didn’t have my Gold chain worth of $1000.00 or more. Silk hands, I didn’t filled any thing. At the time I realized the salon was already closed and she was off the following days. My fault no report it to the police or The owner. My advice it’s to move the broches to the bottom.

Jme Phelps Arrived with only 1 person in the waiting area & signed the sheet to get a simple trim. Additional people came in and also signed the sheet. I waited over 30 minutes & watched as two different people who came in after me were called back. I asked the lady at the counter why I was being skipped and she told me that one of the workers was a barber and did not do womens hair but did not have an excuse for the second person. She proceeded to tell me that I would be called next. So I sat back down and waited an additional 20 minutes & witnessed yet another person who came after me be called to the back. What is the point of having a sign-in sheet if the workers are just going to call people randomly out of order?! All I needed was a simple trim, which would have taken any basic cosmetologist a whole 15 minutes to do & yet I was there for an hour & never got served. Favoritism maybe? Because it was definitely not the barber thing when 2 of the 3 people called after me were female. That kind of business practice is completely unacceptable & you should be ashamed of yourself.

Manases Flores NEVER COME HERE. Terrible terrible terrible experience, I took my sister here to get a haircut for her graduation and she asked for highlights and she got calico critter hair. We asked for a refund or to fix the mess on her head and Irma the stylist got really offended, and she said that I allowed her to do whatever I wanted because I couldnt make my mind up. Now, why would I do that with a stylus that I dont know? This doesnt make sense, but she gave me half of my money back and threw a tantrum and refused to take responsibility. She was super hostile and I did not felt taken care of.

Ruby Peña Jesse is hands down the best! He does my extensions and color, and I couldn’t be happier with the results every time. He really takes his time to make sure everything looks perfect and always listens to what I want. I love that he checks in throughout the process to make sure I’m happy with how things are going. He’s not only super talented but also makes the whole experience enjoyable. I always leave feeling confident and loving my hair. Highly recommend him!

Heidi Lancaster Now that I found a new stylist, I see that not only was I being scammed, but I was also a guinea pig. I love the girls here, theyre all very nice, but I feel very betrayed by Anabel. I would not recommend for any fantasy colors done here. Way overpriced for the poor work. I do feel really dumb for going back as often as I did, but Im glad I was able to find someone else that didnt feel the need to take advantage of me or experiment on me. The pictures are the SAME job and the last job I ever got done there. --- 1. Got my whole head bleached in one go—was super happy. Not the exact color I wanted, but was nice! 2. I had used box dye before this appointment and made a mess of my hair. Was left with ugly Barney purple hair. Anabel says it’s my fault, so sure, I’ll take that. 3. 3rd time’s a charm, but not really. Was okay, still not what I wanted. There was an issue with getting a halo around my head. Can’t blame shampoo on that. But this was my fault somehow. Went for a re-do. Got a color I didn’t want. 4. Another try at the color I wanted. Didn’t get what I wanted. Almost completely white hair. Assistant even made a comment about this not being anything like what I had asked. Very white with a hint of blue? Next day, had a halo around my head and was blotchy. No box dye, no shampoo, no excuse to mess this up. Had to go back for a re-do. 5. Got a plum color, despite it not being what I wanted. Still ended up liking the color tho! Decided I’d stick with this color! 6. Went for a retouch. Wanted same color I had. Ended up with a Barney purple halo, dark purple in the front, and no color at all in the back. Plum color nowhere to be found. No box dye, no shampoo, no excuse to mess this up. Pictures attached. This is the gist of it. Sure, I made a mistake the first time with the box dye, but there’s no excuse after that. I would have been able to move past all the previous stuff, if in the last appointment I had gotten what I wanted. We had found a color I was happy with; I was told she saved the formula. I didn’t do anything to my hair that could have compromised the recolor. And yet, I ended up with a mess again. Those pictures are from the last appointment. There is no reason to leave a salon with hair looking like that, especially after I paid so much. And that’s what was upsetting. --- EDIT: Thank you for your side of it Anabel, but surely you know in your heart that your failures weren’t entirely my fault. Take a look at the pictures. Thats what you left me with, and theres no box dye, shampoo, or anything else to blame on this one.

Katie Maxwell Anabel has been doing my hair forever. She is so sweet and my experience at Montenegro Salon & Spa has always been wonderful. Everyone there has been very welcoming and overall nice. I have always left the salon LOVING my hair, especially when Anabel dyed my hair pink! It was so fun and the color came out perfect. We’ve done a few different things over the years, but I was blonde for the LONGEST time, and it was always perfect.

Teresa Williams I have nothing but great things to day about this salon. I usually only come here for there amazing eyebrow waxing but today i needed my hair done at an affordable price.Cindy had her work cut out for her and did an amazing job with the help of the other stylists opinions. I was there for 4 or 5 hours and I had my 2 little boys so it was a hassle but everyone there was kind and understanding about it. I bleached and dyed my hair red last year. And then put dark purple on top of it this year to try and transition to an ashy gray/platinum look. I have 2 more appointments till I get the look im going for but I definitely cant wait. Ask for Cindy! She takes her time and doesnt give up!

Throughout the service both girls reminded me what was being done before doing so and making sure i was okay still. Very professional! Definitely will continue to go back! Salon is also very beautiful and clean!

nicole lazo I had an appointment at 3PM and I got there at around 2:45/2:50. I walk in and the girl was supposed to do my hair was with another client. This gentleman was there and he greeted me with a smile and told me she would be right with me. I waited until 3:35 and this girl was still not done. She barely acknowledged me maybe 15 minutes before that. I understand having to wait 15/20 minutes but more than 30 minutes, I don’t. If she knew she couldn’t do my hair she could have asked if I was okay with someone else doing it. I’m sure they do good work and the person that greeted me seemed nice, but I doubt I’ll come back.

Alexis Navarro Worst experience of my life! The hairstylist I went to did not do what I wanted even after I showed the inspiration pic she went and ahead did what she wanted. She charged me for a “color correction” which was $300 in the end. She also did long layers and this is what it looks like now. Idk much about hair but I’m pretty sure my long layers are not supposed to look like this. Please avoid this place. I’m still really unhappy with my hair because I have to wait a little to get it done again and pay even more. I did get partial of my refund back. This is my experience here. After she rescheduled with me and the dates she gave me didn’t work with my schedule she didn’t want to give me my deposit back even after the fact there was nothing of the sort in her guidelines about that. She also gave me a discounted price and took into “consideration” the 50 dollars from the deposit. How did that come about a total of 300?

Diana Casas Been getting my hair cut by these ladies since I am 8 years old! They even did my hair for my XV and give more services for a very good price. Even if I go to another place to get my hair dyed I have to with Carmen to get my hair trimmed by her first because I do not trust anyone else with my hair. Super good prices and high quality service.

Dezzie Torres Marissa is an excellent hair professional who takes her time in ensuring you get exactly what you want out of your salon visit., she listened carefully before offering recommendations on how we could improve upon it until finally deciding on Asher blonde coloring which really brought life back into not only just my locks but also overall appearance! Not only did Marisa transform my hair; she also made sure I felt comfortable throughout by keeping me informed every step of the way - something I truly appreciated about this talented artist. She truly sticks to your budget before she starts. There no hidden charges which I love. I truly recommend her to any one. All of the staff is sweet and kind. The atmosphere is calm and friendly. I love how all the women there are kind ❤️

E Brown Negative PLEASURES. I had highlights done by the short woman with wavy or curly hair; she did not put the timer on, so my hair got burnt. It has been two years and my hair has not recovered her neglect. I don’t recommend this place.

Edgar Herrera Ive been coming here off and on for about 2 yrs or so. I only know of this place because of Esther. She used to work over at The Pros. I remember back when it was a $4 haircut, and youd paid with a $5, and that was it. Lol. Times change, of course....anyhow. shes been my cutting my hair since I was in middle school in the mid-90s, till now. Not even the pandemic slowed us down. Id go to her house and get a haircut. Anyhow. Great place and good price for a haircut. For what you pay over $40 at other places, you can get it here for way less at $9.

Corrie Rivas Would give 0 stars if I could...... This was the first time my son got his hair cut by the owner. She was agressive when she was cutting his hair and he was obviously uncomfortable by the way he was being manhandled. My son gets a haircut at least once a week and is used to it so for him to be uncomfortable says alot. His dad told her she was being too rough and she got mad and kicked my son out of the chair with his haircut unfinished and told his dad to have someone else do it. Will never ever return after having my son treated so bad.

Laura J Do not get your hair cut here ! This was the most traumatic haircut i’ve ever had. I have curly hair. Anybody that does hair knows you NEVER use thinning shears on curly hair. I just asked her for a trim and face framing layer in the front, she cut off 4-5 inches off my hair. When my hair was getting washed it was uncomfortable, most places use a nice scented product and massage it in. They only used shampoo…. I have low porosity curly hair you aren’t even going to be able to get a comb through it without conditioner. So when she cut it my hair is literally straw. She used the thinning shears so now its frizzy as hell. She also made rude comments about my roots being visible when i told her that i was recovering from an eye surgery, this was something i did to try to make me feel a little better and she completely destroyed my hair then kept trying to sell me keratin or other treatments. As if i would ever go here again. I hope that my curls will come back. she basically gave me a disgusting frizzy shullet when i just wanted a trim. Stay away.

Jennifer Hurtado Very professional and beautifully decorated salon in east El Paso! Everyone is so friendly and where else can you get full hair service, nails, pedicures and even House-made lotions and scrubs!? Wow! Sunny is the stylist for you. She added a filler to my hair to ensure that the black dye doesn’t fade quickly. I explained that I was growing my hair out so she only cut an inch and explained how I should trim it in the future. They use Joico products which left my hair so soft and silky! Make sure to snap some pics cause they’re interior decorating is on point! They even have photo equipment for shoots. Awesome place and very affordable!

zury n i wasn’t greeted upon arriving and after waiting an hour i decided to leave as no one was giving me a service and its first come first serve and they let a well known customer of theirs ahead after telling me i would be next. do not recommend

Judy DD I went in with two other ladies for haircuts as we walked in we weren’t greeted. There was no available seating and we were standing looking where we could wait had to ask if we could seat in a small sofa towards the back. We waited an hour and asked how many more people were in front of us they said they had one more as there was a bigger group of ladies all getting cuts. There was four employees working today and after waiting little over an hour a man walks in and was greeted and they told him if he didn’t mind standing for the wait and then worker that I asked how many more people ahead of us finished a cut and tells him to go ahead and seat for his hair cut!!!! No apologies to us 3 waiting over an hour or telling us oh he had an appointment but you’re next NOTHING!!!!!!! Extremely waste of my time. They all seemed to be in a bad mood. The tall older employee is the one that usually does our cuts and she kept making remarks of a coworker as she had to wait in her to finish using the sink with her client to service her and just made it extremely uncomfortable to be there. A man walked in and asked if he could do his nails and they all laughed and said the nail tech wasn’t in today. When he left they all kept laughing that he asked to get a manicure!!!! Go if you want bad service and wait long time for service and be judged!!!!!

Hector Carbajal The lady who cut my hair said she was the manager of this salon. However, she didnt sound like it. All throughout my haircut session, she complained that parents would take their children while being undecided as to their childs hair cut. I felt uncomfortable and Im sure her coworker next to her felt uncomfortable that she spent all her time complaining and whining as she cut my hair. I could tell she is a toxic manager and the salon is a toxic workplace. The majority of people there wanted another stylist to attend to their children. Go elsewhere for a a haircut, folks!

Robert L Patterson What a wonderful salon. I had been growing my hair for two years so that I can donate it to locka of love (nonprofit that makes natural wigs for kids with cancer). She took the time to make several pony tails so the long enough. Once cut the ponytails off sh used the trimmers to clean up my hair. She was meticulous in detail edging all sides of the head including brows. Super nice with great conversation the entire time. Best service and haircut I have ever had. She. Even took the time to package up the hair for.donation in an envelope so all I have to do is put an address on it. I gave her a 100% tip cause she deserved it. Thank you.!

Jesus Anchondo Make an appointment today! Aide took me in for a hair cut on a very short notice. She only works by appointment, but I was happy she made an exception. She did a great job and was very friendly. I was extremely pleased with my haircut and her professional service. Thank you Aide! I will return again.
