Robin Walker We were told about this by a friend from Houston, it really is an excellent venue. The food was as brilliantly prepared as you would expect from a culinary school, but it went beyond... the depth of flavour in the stocks and sauces was testament to some first-class teaching. Our waiter was very new, we later heard, but did his job faultlessly (even though we inadvertently asked some difficult questions). The wine pairings option (we chose the premium pairing) were creative and of great quality. Overall, a find to be celebrated, but I suspect you will need to book weeks in advance of your visit, as we did!

Maria Trakas The food was good but the service was terrible. I informed the order taker that I have gluten allergy; she was the only one who knew that meant the rest of the staff should change gloves. That made me hesitant but after explaining the reason for the process, the rest of the staff realized that I also could not eat the tortillas since they were all cooked on the same surface. The experience, however, went downhill from there. Though my order, without tortillas was prepared immediately, my partners was lost in the shuffle. We waited patiently while others received their orders. After about 5-10 minutes we inquired about his order. We were told to wait. After waiting a little longer we inquired again and explained that we had waited some time while others, who ordered after us, received their orders. The staff scolded my partner, telling him that he should have waited loser to the delivery area - exactly where we had been waiting. My partner offers constructive criticism as the staff were all students, however, they got angry with him and told him he was being inappropriate.

Arianne This facility downtown is great for night classes. They are not crowded. Parking is easy to find and very near the campus. There is a gym here you can go to along with a food court aaaaaand yes, Starbucks. There are 3 main buildings and the classes are all close to each other. Its like mini college here and you avoid all the headaches of a bigger campus. I love it here. Go runners!

Samantha I attended Hallmark University (formerly Hallmark College) from 2012-2014. I graduated with an associates degree in medical assisting. I could not get a job anywhere because recruiters would tell me that Hallmark degrees are worthless. Years later I am wanting to go back to school but no real universities will accept me. Why? Because Hallmark swears up down left and right that I never graduated and that I never finished paying off my program. They will not release my transcripts at all and have been very rude. Right before graduation, I made the final payment on my program and confirmed with the bursar that I was finished. I walked the stage!!!!! But according to this “school” I didn’t graduate and I owe 3k. Please do not waste your time or money at Hallmark University.

Dajiyah Mcae I got two degrees here, learned a lot and met life long friends. The staff is friendly the instructors care about your success and are there to see you through the finish line. I am not gainfully employed due to my education here and their focus on character. Thank you Hallmark!

A Reed I went to this school back in 2008 and it was the worst decision I ever made. they have since moved locations and after reading the reviews even after getting a face lift the school is still pretty bad. its embarrassing to have this degree on my resume and the credits never transferred to any Alamo colleges at the time after I graduated. It is better to do your basics at Alamo Colleges and then transfer to UTSA or somewhere else, it will also be a lot cheaper than this school. I did the IT program during my time there the professors didnt teach, everything was open book for testing, and if you didnt want to do any of the work but show up, you could bribe some of the teachers with breakfast tacos and pass with an A. The equipment they used for this program was all out of date and nothing you would of seen in the workforce. either way, I dont recommend this school to anyone, its a scam, you will be in debt, and good luck finding a job that cares about the hallmark degree.

Queenitra letuli Its a 50/50 learning environment, hands on training with the stimulation boards and reading. Mostly graded on performance of understanding during labs. You spend one day reading out the text book and the other days in the labs. The teacher holds you responsible to have your own set of tools. Most of the teachers are cool and understanding. There are a lot of good benefits/programs with the school such as gas cards, project quests (tuition/tools/job seeking assistance), project sure scholar (tuition assistance) , FYP(free laptop for firsts year students) and the TXFame program*. But mostly, the tuition fees are cheap with your book fees loop in. The library and hallways are always quite. I started out with HVAC and emerged into the TXFame program. Best move I ever did.

Aly R. As an actual student here, its a waste of time, dont. I feel like Im in too deep and wish I had chosen a different school. The tuition was cheaper than other schools, but its going up drastically. Not to mention all the expenses they dont tell you about until youre already in, spent 4k or more on materials just to attend. They charge computer fees but you have to provide yourself the computer and needed software. You can buy one through their campus store with a payment plan, but you only get like a month to pay it off, so its not really a payment plan. The program is a messy disorganized mess, and the staff get surprised with us. Theres not enough staff to teach, classrooms (I sit on the floor a lot), nor parking spots. You have to pay for parking and yet theres hardly ever parking (not to mention the staff is rude there and will tell everyone different things). Some of my friends have failed, and I feel like their experience has been so heartless. Were just numbers here. They stress taking care of our mental health, but theyre the reason its declining. I love being able to help my patients and learn the material (despite all the academic pain). The other students are so nice, and the community the cohorts bulid are so welcoming. But Im slowly losing why I wanted to be in nursing school. Edit: We also just found out that weve been added into a research study without our consent and awareness. We cant opt out. Its mandatory. It does nothing for our GPA and everything to make nursing school harder, as you have to coordinate separate dates on top of our regular classes. You cant talk badly about it either cause theyre people (who forced us into their research), but apparently were not?

I used the UT San Antonio before, school of dentistry, same thing, great care for you. Im really proud to have UT here in my city.

Brandon Morales I asked a “professor” for help on a project one time an he referred me to YouTube to resolve my issues instead of giving me the one on one help. Worst school Iv ever attended. The “professors” are overwhelmed with the amount of student to one class, they don’t grade on time, they assume if you have a problem that it’s a common problem the entire class is having and will make you feel stupid instead of analyzing the situation, an finding a solution. As far as the staff, “ (student advisers) it all about taking your money I was sick in the hospital for a month I asked my advisor to drop my classes because I would t be able to attend class do to being hospitalized, and instead of complying to my request, she went on her on behind my back to keep me in the class long enough for the school to charge me in full for two classes I was unable to attend, not only taking my money while I’m in a hospital bed but keeping me in the class lowered my grade point average. Do not slow your kids to come here or if your an adult looking to further your education as I was please read this and re consider your options to a local community college.

Paul Phelps This is an expensive school for the non-recognized degree in the real world. If you are after a fast track and not so challenging curriculum, here you go. Guaranteed your finances, tuition, scholarship funding will go hay-wire and you’ll end up owing them money after some attempted derailing of their own faults. The professors are great, they just work for the wrong school since DeVry is a for-profit business. If you are a veteran with VA or GI Bill support other very prestigious state schools or universities will accept you, I promise, just try. With a 3.95 GPA and a 720 GMAT has no weight to get a Masters at a good school. Again I’ll stress that the professors are great and care about what you learn. The school has zero reputation, almost negative, even though they are accredited. Also has turned over several parent companies the past three years, and even more since they got punished by the VA for false advertisement.

Bobby Miller My experience with DeVry University has been great over the last couple of years. I am a veteran, and I am using my G.I. Bill to put some education in my portfolio and DeVry has helped me do just that. DeVry has a fast-paced eight week semester that concentrates the lessons into manageable weekly sections for the students. This strategy worked for me while I attend school and work full time. The professors and faculty are top notch and helpful in pointing students in the right direction. I finished my bachelor’s degree, and I am currently working on my master’s degree through Keller Graduate School of Management. You get what you put in as you attend classes. I noticed some students drop off in attendance, weekly coursework, and daily online postings. Your experience, grades, and goal fulfillment are entirely tied to engagement in the course.

Collin Olds Mrs Kimberly is the best!! She will get you exactly to where you need to be for your studies and is so helpful all throughout the attending process. As a graduate I highly recommend contacting her for future enrollment and any related issues while attending.
5 /5
Olu Ken If there was a zero rating, I would give ECPI. As a former student of ECPI Universitys online program, I feel compelled to share my disappointing experience and warn others against attending this institution. A few reasons I will discourage students from attending ECPI is the disorganization at ECPI. They leave you ill-prepared for the job market. Course materials are often outdated or poorly structured, making it difficult to follow the curriculum. The administration seems to be in constant flux, with little consistency in policies or procedures. This lack of structure extends to the online learning platform, which is confusing and not user-friendly. There are few times where I left a notes on the end of class survey, saying I wont recommend this school to anyone, and no one cared to reach out to me to ask why. The tuition at ECPI is outrageously high, especially considering the quality of education provided. You pay exorbitant costs for no just course compared to what other universities deliver. Starting the program you will be told a different cost than when leaving the school, they leave you in a huge unsuspected debt. It is all a money-making organization that is not focused on delivering quality education. To confirm this financial team was changed a few times during my time with ECPI. They lure you in with promises of financial aid covering some expenses, only to later inform you of outstanding balances The cost-benefit ratio is severely skewed, and youll likely end up paying far more than you would at a traditional university for a less valuable degree and you would be left in debt. ECPIs recruitment team employs pushy sales tactics to get you enrolled quickly, often before youve had a chance to fully consider your options, be warned of the aggressive recruitment tactics. They pressure you to make hasty decisions, glossing over important details about the program and its true costs. Once enrolled, the lack of support is appalling. It takes ages to get a response when you reach out to a supervisor for help. You have to schedule an appointment and sometimes it never happens. I have been left to fend for myself a few times, especially in the online programs even when I had to work. It wasn’t easy going through this school program. The career services department is particularly disappointing, offering little more than a cursory glance at job boards rather than providing meaningful assistance. While some professors are dedicated, many seem disinterested or ill-equipped to teach their subjects effectively In the online program, its not uncommon to encounter instructors who are unresponsive to student queries or provide minimal feedback on assignments. There are also some dubious academic standards. This school approach leaves you ill-prepared for the job market. After thoroughly researching and experiencing ECPI University firsthand, I strongly advise against attending this institution. The combination of poor organization, excessive costs, aggressive sales tactics, lack of support, and questionable academic standards make it a risky investment in your education and future career. Prospective students would be better served by exploring other, more reputable universities. With your response, I still feel ECPI deserves less than a one-star rating. I am surprised you are disappointed. Looking at previous reviews. Let people judge if your response sound like you are trying to help or listen to the concern? You want me to reach out to you via email? when I have completed a few class surveys that no one reads, which is why I said the school doesnt care how you feel, its all about the money. I am a former student of the school, if you value my concern, you have ways to reach me. This review is the best way I can reach out. I am sorry. Thanks.

In this school the grand me the chance to study English in ESL before I did an associate with them. Then we moved to a big University and I will be graduating now this Spring. They have another room dedicated to clothing, shoes, ties and more (including childrens clothing). Please let everyone know about this place. I have meet several students that werent even aware of the free services. Please share the info. Students that are only virtual are eligible as well. They are there to talk to when youre at a crossroad or a cliff. All to help students so they can focus on their studies and not their finances. This is my go to place for donating. No middle man. Kudos to all the work they do. They will forever hold a place in my heart.

Sana Thuzar If you enjoy being targeted by the staff and supervisor then I’m sure you’ll enjoy working here and receiving services from here. If you enjoy social workers and bosses talking about how they should have become strippers to afford college but be told talking about your mental health is concerning then you’ll enjoy this place. If you enjoy a supervisor telling your mentally disabled coworker they’re incompetent and unqualified then you’ll definitely fit right into this center. Most of the social workers are unprofessional and swamped with cases. They honestly don’t know how to do their jobs. They’ve made a a student feel so uncomfortable they no longer seek out services and are actually currently having a case opened. Don’t waste your time here

Giovanni Vargas I came across incompetent and aggressive Northwest Vista College (NVC) Vista Central Admissions and Records staff. The staff didnt know Texas residency laws and they almost wrongly classified me as a non resident, which would have cost me a lot of money. Luckily a supervisor got involved, and he knew Texas residency laws for college students. Residency laws are located in Texas Administrative Code title 19, part 1, chapter 21, subchapter b. I didnt know residency laws at the time, but I recommend knowing residency laws before physically requesting in-state residency at NVC. Admission staff may not know their job or relevant state laws well.

augie1255 Dont waste your time or money on this school! Very shady business practices that definitely only benefits the schools profits. But if you have prior experience and if your really good at teaching yourself than this place is great and the fastest way to get your licenses. If the school would spend as much as they do on advertising on actually fixing the cirriculam this review would look very different. Remember the people giving tours are not experienced in the field and only after being here a while did I realize how much BS it actually was. Truly research the field and ask people who work in the field before taking a tour. Dont get excited at all the stuff sitting in the hangers, you wont touch or use the majority of it.

Joshua C I will update this periodically for anyone in SA looking for ABSN options. I think the program is in its infancy stages or the faculty does not teach but rather assigns readings. While reading does help you learn, I believe it is the responsibility of professors and faculty to help identify important information that is applicable to the real world. If you cannot apply what you learn, what is the point in doing it? Faculty so far is not effective at teaching students where information is applicable to the real world. I am sure faculty is knowledgeable but perhaps not good at teaching, maybe functionaries.
