Karina Miller I hired Villarreal & Begum to handle my personal injury case in 2021, but after months without any contact or updates, I terminated the relationship in 2022. After the fact, I learned they had attempted to file a lien for one-third of my settlement, despite not actively working on the case or securing results. I had to follow up on everything myself just to keep things moving.
Their performance didnt reflect the service I expected, and the lien attempt felt unjustified based on their actual involvement. I recommend others approach with caution and make sure any fee agreement is backed by consistent communication and meaningful effort.
Updated Review:
In response to the firm’s reply: I stand by my original review. My questions about treatment went unanswered for months despite multiple messages through their client portal. No one reached out to me until after I had already changed law firms—at which point they tried to get me back. Referring me to providers early on doesn’t justify the lack of communication or meaningful case management. Filing a lien after I had to resolve the case myself felt completely inappropriate given their limited involvement.
Screenshots attached show multiple unanswered messages I sent through their portal, highlighting the lack of communication I experienced. Employee name and photo have been redacted for privacy.
Note: In one of the messages, I mistakenly referred to the accident as having occurred “a year ago yesterday.” The actual date of the accident was November 30, not October 30. The message was sent on November 1.

Ruben Sanchez I had a great experience with the Texas Law Guns. I would like to thank Christine for her dedication to help me get better and keep me informed throughout the whole process. I would like to thank Mr. Rojas and his assistant Nicholas for taking care of my case and getting my settlement done fast and easy.
