1 /5 N: It’s unfortunate that one poorly trained employee can change the way you view a business in one visit. Since moving to the area about two years ago, my family and I have visited and purchased many items from Old Town Vintage. Normally, upon entering the store a smiling face greets visitors and offers a warm hello. The person today, did not look up and instead stalked customers around the store like prey. I wish I could say that my family were the only ones being stalked. However, she succeeded in chasing off other customers as well. Common courtesy goes a long way. If you truly suspect someone is doing something wrong, why not offer assistance or start up a conversation? This is a basic retail practice. Also, the store could offer small baskets to carry items for purchase. Due to this treatment, we decided not to purchase anything. Something to consider, this store does not offer necessary items, most people can purchase the same items online, and everyone works hard these days to earn a living. No one will want to pay money to be mistreated. A little training could go a long way and maybe not everyone is cut out to work the register. Kind regards
