5 /5 R Morretti: Absolutely loved my time at the Dallas Farmers Market!
From the bustling energy of Sunday afternoon to the delightful variety of vendors, this place is a gem in the heart of Dallas. Inside, the 26,000 sq ft food hall and artisanal vendor space is alive with cafés, local restaurants, gift boutiques, and specialty food shops open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. On the weekends, The Shed opens as an open-air pavilion (Saturdays 9–5, Sundays 10–5) where farmers, ranchers, and food artisans bring seasonal produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods, and more.
The variety is impressive, from fresh fruits and vegetables to artisan crafts and made-to-order meals. Add in live music, community vibes, the joy of sampling, and friendly local faces, and every turn feels like a discovery.
The only downside? Parking. It’s on-site and paid, but during peak times (like Sunday afternoons), it’s nearly impossible to find a spot. Arrive earlier or be prepared to walk a bit.
But truly, this place is a must-visit for locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re a foodie, lover of local crafts, or just in the mood for a fun, sensory adventure, bring your appetite, your sense of wonder (and maybe your walking shoes).
