2 /5 Victoria: We came into the store for ideas since we weren’t exactly sure what we wanted for my dad’s outfit for my wedding . While the sales associate was helpful enough to pull together a full look, the overall experience was disappointing. She was extremely pushy, taking control of the process instead of letting us explore at our own pace. Every time I, the bride, voiced an opinion, it was met with a backhanded comment.
On top of that, she continuously flirted with my dad, which was uncomfortable and unprofessional. She even switched to speaking Spanglish with us despite the fact that we had been speaking English the entire time— (expect when I was speaking to my dad in private about her being pushy ). What she did was something that came across as more passive-aggressive than genuine.
This was supposed to be a meaningful moment for me and my father. Instead, it felt hijacked. I would have appreciated a sales associate who knew when to step back, read the room, and simply assist when asked, rather than dominating the entire experience.
