1 /5 pablo macias: I recently visited Burlington with my daughter for a father-daughter day, just to look around and get out of the heat. While there, I went to the restroom where a man and woman were working on one of the stalls. The woman told me it was fine to go ahead and use it, so I did.
Another customer came in after me and went straight to the urinal. At that point, the man doing repairs said it actually wasn’t OK because they could be liable while working. The customer was already in the middle of using the restroom and basically said, “Well, I gotta go now.”That’s when the situation escalated unnecessarily. The woman, who had just given me permission, suddenly changed her stance and told us it wasn’t allowed. Then she even threatened to call the cops on the other customer who was simply using the urinal. If she was a manager, her behavior was extremely unprofessional. If she wasn’t, Burlington needs to address how these maintenance employees are interacting with customers immediately.
The other worker was also rude, and overall the customer service I experienced during this visit was beyond unacceptable. What should have been a simple, positive father-daughter outing turned into a very uncomfortable situation. Burlington really needs to train their staff better on how to handle interactions with customers.
