David: Accidentally pulled into the lot late at night when I was doing night photography of lit up buildings around Seguin. The plant in the pictures, the colorful lights of water tower, and couple other places.. this park is perfectly situated and has a playscape for kids and i believe theres a trail or track for running or walking.. probably a place designed for kids and parents to be active doing their own thing but still allowing easy visual access for parents watching their kids from the trail/track. Even thru the darkness, i can see that the park seems well maintained and clean (at least, on the surface level) and the park is situated almost exclusively (like any good local open secret hidden paradise) with a small entrance but once you park, seems like another world (remember Secret Gardens movie, 1993?) or alternate reality. Anyways, go check it out but be mindful of the kids that are playing..we all have our childhood memories of that one special place, park or otherwise, so lets make sure these kids get/create their special childhood memories thatll last their lifetime.

Jarred Nolen: It was a great camping trip with 7 and 8 year old boys. Camp site structures at Big Pond are great for tent camping. We hiked several trails; powerline, thirsty horse, juniper ridge, and rocky ledge. We also spent several hours interacting with Ranger Tyler on Saturday the day was filled with roping, feeding Longhorns, and archery. I am so happy for Texas Parks and Wildlife along with there amazing employees from the personnel at the check-in station to the multiple Rangers we had contact with. I cant imagine a Texas with out TPWD, and their amazing parks and opportunities to learn about the wild.

David Dees: What a neat experience visiting this place. There are so many artifacts in this place. Amazing. Scarlet knows everything about anything that’s ever happened in this area. Make sure you ask to tour the jail which is behind the museum. And make sure you go upstairs in the jail.

Robin Uresti: Fun for young kids. Water bumper boats and canoe was fun but bumper boats cost $12 for EXACTLY 5 minutes. Playground was nice with plenty of shaded seating.

Monica Foy: While its a smaller museum, you can easily spend two hours here. The employees are very helpful and friendly. My son loved interacting with all the exhibits. The beating heart is really cool and we loved crawling through the large intestine. Parking is super convenient and only costs $5 if you have a museum membership. Dont skip the gift shop if you love anatomy!
