2 /5 Lidia B: Updated response from White A Salon owner to my below review of them:
"We tried to call but you are not answering your phone. We are more confused than you are. Checking your rewards we find that you have all the points from your referral of your husband and services. It is hard to believe that you spoke to anyone at the reception desk and you were told we decided that you can not use your rewards points. Maybe you should answer your phone."
Obvious maneuver to deflect the blame and make the client look like the bad guy. This statement though... "Maybe you should answer your phone" - how crude and unsophisticated. Also, people have busy jobs and are not waiting around for your call, just fyi. This speaks volume of how gauche this biz is. Never returning here and will let others know about how they deal with clients!
My original review below:
You know what?! Never mind my previous 5 star review. Today after my haircut at the White A Salon I left with a beautiful haircut but also confused and pissed A few days ago I was bragging about how this business is very well run, but today that has changed. I referred my husband to this business not only because I like it but also because they offered a discount for every referral (discount would go to both the referral and the person who made the referral). My husband went for a haircut and they gave him the advertised discount, which means that they acknowledged the referral. After my regular haircut today I found out that they will no longer honor my discount, and that they are staring a new promo program which I can use to refer someone new. No thanks! How will I know that by the time I refer someone new they decide to start a new program w/out honoring my referral?
Also before I left, my stylist (probably trying to force a sale and not her fault) gave me a hair product, which I almost felt compelled to buy. This "recommended" product costed me more than my haircut (I thought of returning it later, but I was like meh).
I consider myself a very good customer wherever I go, and to be honest I still want to come back and get my haircut here because my stylist is AMAZING, but when a business is not honoring their deal and is also triying to get you to pay more for stuff that you may not necessarily need shows that maybe greed doesnt quite work in all cases.
I was super happy that I found a place where I can keep coming back to, but the events today made me rethink my options.
