Autumn Springer: We first came to this church in 2020 during Covid. They truly demonstrated 1 Cor 9:22b "I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some." They had something for everyone on that Covid spectrum. Distanced televised service online, masked social distancing service in person and regular in person service. It so impressed us that in a time of great division, they found a perfect balance so that everyone could continue to worship in whatever way made them the most comfortable.
Our children enjoyed their youth and childrens ministries. The camps, retreats, VBSes, classes, youth group, service opportunities, and activities were excellent and run by an excellent staff.
WARNING: If you have sensory issues, this will not be the place for you. The smoke machines and lightning effects during worship often triggered and aggravated my migraines, to which I am prone. I have children who are on spectrum, that would often need to leave service because of how loud it was.
It is important to know they are very Baptist theologically. With non-denom churches, it is often tough to know where they stand, but after several years here, this became clear. Issues we dont align with like Dispensationalism were tipping points for us to move on.
We were not ever able to find community here for ourselves even after 3 years. We have one relationship from that time, but they too go to a different church now.
If you like Ted-Talk Baptist sermons and rock band worship, you may enjoy it here.
Chris Easterling: Grace Church is a warm, inviting, safe and fun place to worship Jesus Christ. Teaching is profound and practical, kids & youth ministries are excellent and small groups are diverse and impactful. Couldn’t recommend more highly.
Jeff Hackett: We’ve attended several churches since moving to Texas and all of them have been welcoming. Yet there’s something intangible about Preston Trail… it simply feels like home. The weekly messages from Jim, Paul and Alison expand our understanding of God’s will with a particular focus on the NT and Jesus’ life and teachings. The music is uplifting and we’ve met some wonderful new friends. If you’re looking for a church home, I’d encourage you to visit Preston Trail.
Cece Spencer: Went to New Life Community Church for the first time with my husband Sean Spencer. They greeted us with excellence and pointed us to the tribe worship center the kids area. We checked our kids in and the usher walked us to our seats in the main sanctuary. They had a fruitful message about going from “Pain into the Promise” it was a right on time message. I loved that they had a prayer team and we went up for prayer after the message and a powerful man of God prayer for our family. We enjoyed the church picnic and fellowship with members. I also wanted to highlight Cynthia, she greeted us with so much love and blessed our family with a laptop computer for our ministry. Thank you New Life for your love and warm welcome and for all that you do for our community.
