3 /5 Veronica Vallejo: I have always enjoyed visiting and getting a haircut at TSPA for several years. Today was an experience that I have never had before. The student cutting my hair did a good job of being kind, attentive, and amiable. While I was getting my haircut, an educator , Ms. Jones, came to the student and let her know that (1) someone else was doing the student’s task and (2) that they had celebration at 5pm so the student needed to do a “quick dry”. I imagine it was communication that time sensitive, but it could have been a conversation reserved between them and not while I was in the chair. Also, if there is something pending that requires the students attendance, maybe don’t book a client for them right before so they aren’t having to feel rushed to complete the service. After Ms. Jones checked the cut, the student was instructed to sweep up and get me checked out. No hair dry. While it was not an issue for me to walk out with wet hair, I imagine that’s not how you would want the students to treat their clients when they’re out in the real world. All this to say, some conversations should reserved for only educator and student ears, and a client shouldn’t walk out without their full service because it is an inconvenience to a prescheduled event when the service was booked with the intention to fulfill service.
