5 /5 William Harlow: I am a conventionally conservative guy. I did not expect to find a home in the Episcopal Church, but it turned out there was space for me, too. We read four scriptures per Sunday, and those scriptures are directly central to the sermon. You are reminded that the heart of the Gospel is to love your neighbor, and you have plenty of opportunities to do that. You are reminded that God loves those of your neighbors that you dont always like very much, and it turns out that sometimes I need that reminder. It turns out that sometimes I am that neighbor. The physical facilities are beautiful, and on the first Sunday of the month everyone makes their best casserole. The sermons always have a clear point and are short enough to focus on. Most Sundays those sermons encourage me, and they always make me think about my faith walk. It is OK that I sometimes disagree with some of my fellow parish members. Regardless of where you are on any sort of ideological, social, or political scale, Holy Trinity has someone like you and you will feel welcomed. It turns out that message meant me too, and it also means you.
