2 /5 CC: Proceed with Caution!
I have regularly visited the dentist throughout my childhood but fell behind as a young adult due to not having dental insurance. When I finally returned for care, I felt that this office assumed I was neglectful and uninformed about my dental health rather than simply overdue for a visit.
While the staff was polite, I did not get the impression that they genuinely cared about their patients. Instead, they focused more on upselling procedures than addressing my actual dental concerns.
I have always received compliments on my smile, and aside from not flossing regularly, I take good care of my teeth. My visit was primarily to fill a small hole in my molar that cracked and a deep cleaning due to plaque buildup. After routine X-rays—which I expected—they unexpectedly took an iPad photo of me without explaining its purpose or giving me the option to decline. The unflattering image was then displayed on the TV in the exam room alongside a digitally altered version of my teeth with veneers.
Rather than focusing on my immediate dental needs, the staff spent most of the appointment critiquing my smile and bite, pressuring me to consider expensive cosmetic procedures. They were so fixated on selling me veneers that they ran out of time for the cleaning I had originally scheduled. Then, they rescheduled it and tried to split the cleaning into two separate appointments, which felt like a blatant attempt to increase their billing.
Overall, my experience was disappointing. If you are considering this office, I strongly recommend getting a second or even third opinion before committing to any treatments. For unbiased evaluations, avoid mentioning any recommendations made here when seeking additional opinions.
