1 /5 Carolyn Jarmon: I have been following this salon and stylist on IG for a few years with the plan to visit when I made to transition to natural hair as the tagline of the salon on IG is "Home of the Big Chop". I reached out to salon owner via phone to schedule an appointment for a sew in. Id explained that Id never had a sew in before and did not know what I needed to purchase or bring. The owner suggested an appointment with one of the other stylists in the salon but offered to consult with me before the 11am appointment to give me details on what products/hair to purchase because she didnt expect the other stylist Megan to come in until just before my appointment time.
I arrived at 9:30 for the consultation and was pleasantly surprised by how lovely and upscale the salon was decorated. Upon arrival I was immediately greeted by two young ladies inquired about who I was waiting on and I explained the entire situation. The young ladies told me the owner was with a client and would be with me shortly.
I waited for almost an hour until the owner Anastasia came out to tell me the stylist that I was waiting on would not do my hair because my hair was too short and she doesnt work on people with short hair. And she, the owner, was too busy to perform any services on me.
Apparently the young lady that greeted me was the stylist that I was waiting on, but instead of her telling me she couldnt do my hair at the time of greeting me, she allowed me to sit for an hour, passing me multiple times without a word or offer of water or anything. Why would you allow a person that you know you are not going to service wait an hour for NOTHING?!?!
I find it hysterical that on the booking site there is such harsh language about respecting the time of the stylist and being on time and blah blah blah....however no consideration was given to my time.
Not the best first impression. I will definitely not return.
