5 /5 Mackenzie S: Amazing church! Grew up in this beautiful southern Baptist church (dont worry we all dance). Friendly people, and we are planning to expand soon. We do not dress up very much. Come as you are. Sunday 10:45 hope to see some new friendly faces!

5 /5 Robert Carpenter: Southern Oaks Church is a Bible-based church. The 8:30 service is traditional singing hymns and a few not-so-different contemporary songs. The 10:45 service is contemporary but not super loud or radical. It is a good place to make your church home and grow in the Lord. The photos are of the music team, and the Pastor, Dr. Joe Taylor at the annual Easter "Sunrise Service" at our property on the Guadalupe River.

Lots of friendly Christ followers, a bible based format, a nursery in the same building, exceptional youth & childrens ministries, an amazingly anointed pastor. You will be welcomed with sincere open arms, but not smothered. Come for a visit.

5 /5 Trip Seven: I recommend you visit every time you pass through Kerrville! Pastor Joe has a heart for the Lord and preaches the word. His childrens sermons are fun and light hearted, he is infinitely patient with the little ones when they gather round him. The congregation is open and friendly. They all will make you feel welcome immediately. It wont take long to become part of the family If you attend regularly. Its a great place to Live, Love amd Serve our Lord. Be well, and blessed.

5 /5 Wanda Selby: Love, not only the preacher. But the congregation. I have moved to Brackettville & watch sermons on my laptop. Wish we had songs by the 8:30 choir. I love the older hymns.

Betsy Sanchez: I thought it was a church with kind people. The pastor lets himself be led by the Holy Spirit. The songs are somewhat old-fashioned spirituals. And there arent many instruments. I only noticed the piano being played. The Pentecostal doctrine, with dogmas already imposed on the dress code, is a common theme. The church could grow its membership if they improved some things. Otherwise, its a good place. DlsB!!!
