5 /5 L A Heath: If you happen to be anywhere near this place, take a quick detour to view this amazing site of Texas history. It is off the main road and behind a fence on private property but easy to see and photograph.

5 /5 Chase Dillman: Enjoy this spot while you can. Trees dont live forever. Thats why its fenced off. It would have been cool to place a finger on it, but I understand why its fenced off.

5 /5 Allison Allen: Off the beaten track, but a beautiful scenic view! You cannot access the location because its on private property, but there is a brick sign indicating what it is. Its a step back in Texas history that not many will discover. But they should!!!

C.S. Roberts House and Museum - Sherman

Centrifugal Muse: Drove far to see this place after checking business hours. Knocked on door. No answer. Kept trying. Double checked hours. Online it showed they were open and wouldn’t close for 2 more hours. Kept knocking. Still no answer, tried door thinking you just walk in. Locked. It was beautiful from the outside, so I gave it two stars just for the outdoor beauty. Would have loved to see the inside. I drove far and would have appreciated correct hours.

Lucy Kidd-Key Park - Sherman

Briana Harris: Large well manicured lawn and stage area provided for outdoor concerts. It was really nice, we all had blankets and lawn chairs, ice chests, and snacks. Very enjoyable, plenty of room.

Brandy Miller: Im visiting my sister and walked this trail around the lake. It was beautiful but there are some spots to watch out for. These trails can be walked alone but take something with you. There are lots of places that people can hide and sneak up on you. Of course, I always hike with many items for my protection, but I still made sure to watch out for others.

The Sherman Museum - Sherman

Eric Larsen: A variety of prehistoric artifacts including dinosaur Dino bones and other creatures. Also includes local history. For young children you can touch a Dino femur, they have a sand pit for “fossil” digging and a coloring station / area with potentially other things to do like board games (I think it’s for the visitors but I may be wrong). 5$ an adult and 2$ for kids over 4 yrs. A little more than I expected to pay for some reason I thought it was just 2$ per person. Knowledgeable staff (Jacob was the one who answered our questions).

Eden Zimbelman: Absolutely amazing museum that every trumpet player should visit! The owner was extremely welcoming and gave my friends and I a complete tour. Im definitely going to be back here soon. It is well worth the drive if you have to make one.

galila Abdelghani: Amazing park! With lots to do! They have a tot area with swings, a play house, and several other activities and then another huge wooden playground for all ages. They have pavilions for parties as well.

galila Abdelghani: Last week we went to the discovery place in Tyler. I thought I was great but this place is actually really awesome and I prefer it over driving to Tyler. A lot of the same attractions-my small sons are 18 months and 2.5. But this was a lot less crowded! It has a lot more free space that isn’t being used by attractions but still tight on parking. This is def a gem to me being here visiting my mom in Gladewater, I’m glad ignored the bad reviews lol

Lear Park - Longview

Samuel Higgins: Well kept, large playground, and plenty of shade to keep cool; this park gets two thumbs up from me! There is a wide variety of activities to choose between, from strolling the scenic sidewalks to treating your kids to a wet day at the splash pad. I will definitely be back to visit again soon!
