Its in need of a thorough restoration that is probably impossible financially. Interesting quirk: has two narthexes, originally one for women, one for men, according to our tour guide. That seems unlikely as Christians dont separate men and women in the pews. Why would they come in separate doors only to have to find their families and proceed to the pew together? But, worth stopping when in historic Gainesville.
