3 /5 JoAnn Simpson: Music -A, Message - A, Welcoming - F. If you like contemporary worship...this is the place to be. Pastor has a lot of energy and is a good storyteller that makes the message relatable. Totally missed the mark on the welcoming part. Walking in the door asked to fill out a card and given a big white box with a large red ribbon/bow. (Great welcoming strategy...like a beacon...."Attn: Here are new people!") Yet no one we sat nxt to even made eye contact. Then the rather long walk back to the front door while carrying the beacon...still not one person offered a welcome, nice to see you...nothing. The pastor stands at the door. "Ah some newcomers," he says pointing to the box. Asks if we filled out a card. Yes. "Great Ill be reaching out tomorrow (wow, thats nice!) with a video clip all abt our church." I filled out card with names and phone number...no email. And no follow through...didnt bother to call since email was missing. Community is a large part of what were looking for. Looking elsewhere.
