Having moved from New York then to CA and now Texas, I was weary of looking for a church home where I could grow, serve, and heal. Some places I visited offered community but void of God’s Truth. Others offered small groups and great programs without intentional discipleship and biblical teaching. In January 2024, I walked into Faith Bible tired and discouraged. And from the moment I walked in, the love of Christ was evident in the warm greeting and welcoming smiles. The Praise and Worship was all directed to God. This wasn’t about a “worship experience” with lights, smoke, and special effects. It was a team of Spirit filled believers offering praise and thanksgiving to a Living God—with their voices, instruments, lifted hands, and surrendered hearts. Then the best part began—Pastor Russell began to teach the word of God. For 30 minutes, the inerrant word of God was taught with love, conviction, and clarity. Scripture interpreting scripture. No fanfare, simply the Living Word instructing, correcting, encouraging. Truth building up the church in love. It was exactly where my heart and spirit needed to be and heal. Haven’t missed a Sunday since then. And…have finally found a church home that i enthusiastically invite others to come!! I know for certain God will meet them exactly where they are and His Spirit will lead them into all matters of Truth because His word is shared, taught, lived, and spoken at every turn at Faith Bible Church.
