1 /5 T Baker: Very disappointed. Pick-up pulling a trailer broke down about 7 miles out of town. PCs told me over the phone they would call their boss to see if there was someone able to come. In the mean time we drove in our other vehicle to their shop. Either the owner or manager told me to my face they would come.
The tow truck driver told us he had to run someone home and he would be right out. He never came. It was literally 7.5 miles from their shop to our vehicle.
We waited nearly an hour at the vehicle that was broke down. I decided to pull the pick-up with our Mack truck. In the dark. On a four lane highway.
Just as we started to tow ourselves, someone from PCs called and asked us if we had a way to pull in the trailer we had connected to the truck. Quite irritating.
PCs left us with a truck and trailer stranded on a 4 lane highway with a tough decision: leave our property on the highway overnight with no way to keep the trailer secure, or tow it in unsafely in the dark with no powersteering or power brakes.
Quite unprofessional. If you tell someone you are going to do something, do it. If you arent going to come, say no!
We had daylight and they could have said no. We could have made another decision. We could have tried the other company in town.
