5 /5 Sean Butcher: This hotel feels like its straight out of the 2000s, and I love that about it! Its an extremely relaxing place with all the creature comforts you expect from a family friendly touristy resort. Theres a nice restaurant with a breakfast buffet, a rooftop steakhouse, gift shop, coffee shop, bar, and of course a pool. Even though the hotel feels a little dated (in a good way in my opinion) the rooms are very nice and clean. Its a nice family getaway for groups going to Moody Gardens or just visiting Galveston in general. My only complaint is that many of the amenities of the hotel are not operating during the "off season", which made the service aspect of the resort feel lacking during my stay. This is a minor issue as the main amenities, like the pool, restaurant, and spa, were still open.
