Ellas Hair Salon - Edinburg Ashley Rivera: I do not know how they are licensed to cut hair. they did such a terrible job. I went to get my hair cut and it was so uneven they forgot to cut chunks of my hair! It is so bad. It was $7 for a reason. If they don鈥檛 know you and you show up they will NOT talk to you or anything just stare at you weird. The woman who cut my hair was so rude and unprofessional. i went from long hair (asked for medium length hair) to an uneven ugly short length. DO NOT GO TO THIS HAIR SALON.
BraidsbyBeckaa LLC. - Edinburg C. Wilson: When the husband & wife duo tag team it to knock out my baby鈥檚 twists, you know they鈥檙e dedicated鈥h yeah, and they did it in the comfort of our home! I can鈥檛 rave enough about these two. My daughter won鈥檛 go with anyone else but them and now my brother drives my nephew from Austin to get his twists done as well. 5 star service and genuinely good people.
JCPenney Salon - Edinburg Crystal Tan: My son and I came here for 2 different services. I just had a hair treatment, while my son, had a perm. I was nervous about my son鈥檚 perm because: 1) It is his first perm and 2) It may not turn out the way he wants it.Hair perm can be a bit tricky, and my son just wants that big curls to give his hair some body and bounce because his hair is so flat and straight (which is my dream hair). Both my stylists and his stylist are not just knowledgeable but skilled; meaning they can execute, and execute it well. If you want you hair done, you have to try JC Penny, and look for either Hana or Mariela.
SMARTSTYLE - Levelland Lolli Grubb: Came in on Black Friday, had Tiffany as a stylist. Asked what I wanted when I came in. Asked for a cut (trim really ) she asked if I wanted a shampoo and I said yes, she knew my boyfriend and started talking to him while taking me back to the chair. I did not get my shampoo, I鈥檓 not one to correct people, so I just let it go. Figured she was distracted catching up and it was fine with me. I asked for a wolf cut with medium to short layers. A local came in and talked about the whole time I was in the chair but during my consult she asked why I wanted my hair cut. I said because of the breaking and feeling extremely dry. I asked what services I could have to help. She鈥檚 asked if I have ever done a deep condition before under a dryer I said no I鈥檝e never done that. She didn鈥檛 offer it. I then asked about the K-something or other treatment I鈥檝e seen online, she said it was the K-18 and that it鈥檚 very expensive. Then continued just talking about other things. Again didn鈥檛 bother to offer that service. Not sure if they do that or not there or not, or if she was just offering information but at the same time it made me think she just assumed i that I couldn鈥檛 afford that service. I will say I looked like the Trenchbul from Matilda that day but still. Don鈥檛 judge a book by its cover. That was my second time there. First time was 2 years ago on Black Friday. I color my own hair. Usually do my own cutting too but to be very honest depression sucks ass (especially this time of year) and sometimes it鈥檚 okay to ask for help. Or in my case, pay for it. Either way it鈥檚 been two very different experiences. One did a phenomenal job and the other really just made me feel like I was bothering them by being there; to top it off she very dryly said if I didn鈥檛 like my hair cut to comeback again. Uhhhhh no thanks. I don鈥檛 look great with short hair and it鈥檚 short enough as it is but now I have to find yet another stylists to fix this mess. It鈥檚 like a 5year old had at it.
