5 /5 GM Jones: I just attended the Tuesday Morning Prayer and Worship Service.
What a BLESSING!
This was my first time visiting (we are volunteering at the State Natural Area nearby). It was still dark when i arrived, but the lot and approach to the building were very well lit. Others entering greeted me as did the official "greeters".
There was coffee!
As i entered i could see the entrance to a very colorful, vibrant childrens area.
The worship center/sanctuary was dimly lit, but i did have enough light to see my Bible.
When I arrived,a musician was leading worship (sounded really nice, and attendees were participating). The Pastor/ Lay Leader delivered a very good devotion. It was short but not at all rushed and was scripture based, while relating it to exactly where I am right now.
Then we were given the opportunity to pray; there were prayer cards (for if you wanted the church to pray for you), and a Prayer Guide, "Pray First" . I couldnt read it at the time, but brought it home
As we prayed, there was really good prayer- focused contemporary Christian music playing.
When I left, a Greeter asked if I was new (yes) and provided me with information on volunteering at the church, life groups, baptism...
I had a great experience at Life Point. I do plan to visit again and will invite other folks volunteering with me.
