5 /5 Fareedah Abdus-Salaam: Great park love bringing my kids here. The park is very well maintained, nothing is chipped or broken. There are restrooms (can’t comment because I have never used them), playground with swings for all ages, several that you can reserve for parties or bbq, a fountain pond with turtles and a volleyball sand pit. People are very friendly; we have been going for years and never had any issues.

5 /5 Naomi Bejarano: My son absolutely loves this park! He enjoys it every time we come, we’ve also brought his cousins with him before and they too enjoyed it . There is also a fountain right beside the park that has turtles in it. We love to go turtle watching after playing.

5 /5 Morning Owens: Best dog park in Plano. Plenty of parking but also easy to walk to if you live within a few miles. Dog owners have been very conscientious in all of my visits. I was really worried when we first went here but I was pleasantly surprised. Water available inside the park for both pets and owners. Lots of places to stay covered. Picnic tables available. Inside of park there is a sidewalk that runs the perimeter so you can keep moving while your dog gets their exercise.

Pilar H L: Great structures, suited for the youngest and also challenging for older ones. The area wasn’t so good though, just thought it will be wooded, but considering everything, great playground.

Jordan Hill: Built in 1874!! Unbelievable. More than 150 years old. The park was beautiful this morning. Smell of pine trees and the sound of the water moving through the damn drowned out the traffic from the highway.

This beautiful trail system offers a perfect blend of paved paths and natural trails that wind along a peaceful creek, making it ideal for a casual stroll or a longer hike. Whether you’re looking for an easy, paved walk or a more rugged path through the woods, this preserve has something for everyone. One of the highlights of my visit was the abundance of wildlife. I saw cardinals the entire time, their bright red feathers adding a pop of color to the trees. Fat, happy squirrels darted around collecting food, and I even spotted some bunnies hopping through the brush. The ducks by the creek made for a serene sight, gliding through the water as if they owned the place. The preserve is also well-equipped with playgrounds and pavilions, making it a great spot for families. I loved how the trails weave through the neighborhoods, giving a sense of being tucked away in nature while still feeling connected to the community. It’s the perfect escape for anyone who wants to breathe in fresh air, listen to the sounds of birds and rustling leaves, and truly enjoy Mother Nature. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with plenty of options to explore, Dayspring Nature Preserve is a must-visit!

Malcom Graham: The greenery is well-maintained, providing a pleasant atmosphere for picnics or relaxation. However, the playground equipment is somewhat dated and could use an upgrade. Additionally, the lack of shade can make it uncomfortable during hot days.

Christine B: This is a great place for softball and baseball games. There are 4 softball fields that are made of all turf. They are currently building a nice, large playground as well. Overall great place maintained by the city of Allen!

Riddhi: A hidden treasure. The preserve has a safe and very peaceful trail. You get to see a beautiful meadow streaming. It connects from a trail to a playground and sand volleyball court.

Watters Crossing Park - Allen

Chantry Gilbert: Watters Crossing Park is a hidden gem of a neighborhood park, and has a lot to offer for families with smaller children. They have a great play area, posted ages 2-5, a volleyball court that doubles as a fun sand play area when not in use, a basketball court, a covered pavilion, plenty of benches, and a lot of wide open area. Plenty of street parking available, and the street is residential, so not too much traffic. If youre looking for a lovely little park for toddlers, I highly recommend Watters Crossing Park!
