Wellspring United Methodist Church
Aimee Reed: How do you rate a church? Ok. I was only there to do a speaking engagement for the Georgetown Newcomers about how clutter can affect your mental health. It is a very nice building and they have a fountain at the front of the auditorium which was very pretty. The IT guy who took care of the Powerpoint for my talk is a staff member and he was cool...Frank. They say they accept anyone to come worship with them so thats something to consider. The vibe was good but again it wasnt Sunday service.

The Potters House Church of Georgetown - Georgetown
Michael Dublin: I’m not sure where to start on this review…… There’s so many things I can go into. I will try to keep it basic and give enough information for people to understand what goes on in the potters house. If you are a real genuine Christian stay well away from this place. I visited this church years ago under the current pastors father who used to pastor this church I noticed many issues back then after going for about a month, I decided not to come back. I started doing my research on the Potter’s house church recently which many of you should do prior to attending this church. A good place to start would be a Facebook page called escaping the potters house. This entire organization is a cult and is ruled by power and control as well as money. I recently thought about attending again, after speaking with some previous members of the Potters House Church in Georgetown, they informed me that the current pastor there Josh took over this church from his father Joseph, who is no longer in this fellowship of churches. Joseph left this fellowship due to a lot of of their cult like practices. Joseph was asked to cut off one of his sons due to him not attending the church and getting a divorce.Since leaving the fellowship, Joseph has been cut off by his entire family, as well as his son Josh, who is the current pastor of this church simply due to the reason that Joseph is no longer a part of their organization After doing more research in finding the page escaping the potter’s house. I learned that this is a very common practice. They basically believe that no one outside of their fellowship of churches are real Christians. It is a common practice for these people to cut off family members if they decide to leave the cult very very sad I’m very disappointed that this still happens. I’m saddened to think that these people call themselves Christians the more I learned about this organization, the more I’m disappointed in The so-called Christianity They proclaim.
Community Bible Church of Weir, Texas - Georgetown
Ken Sicher: Pastor Michael Wright is as fine a Bible teacher as I have ever known or studied under. The praise & worship is modern and led by Boyd Bush, who is also a great teacher (Ph.d.) in his own right. The congregation isnt too small or too large for such a small community. Services are @ 10:30am on Sunday mornings.
