1 /5 Timmothy: I visited this church for the 1pm Sunday service in search of a new church home but was disappointed by how my family and I were treated. Upon arrival, the first usher insisted that there was a place where we could leave our children. Once we entered the sanctuary and tried to find a seat, another usher stopped us and informed us that families with small children needed to sit in the back or in the rafters. Ive never been to a church where I couldnt sit where I pleased.
The start of the service felt more like the start of an NBA game, with loud music and people running up on stage, jumping up and down. I have been in a Pentecostal church many times and know what loud is. This was beyond loud. Like going to Monster Jam loud. When the pastor began talking about the new building after worship and immediately brought up the offering, it felt like he was saying, "Look what G-d did; now its time to pay up and show how good He has been." Halfway through the offering talk, my spirit of discernment told me it was time to leave, and I took my family out. I definitely did not feel the presence of G-d or the anointing here. My family and I will definitely not be coming back.
