1 /5 Aimee: I’ve been a loyal customer of this nail salon for years, visiting at least three times a month, but unfortunately, I’ve decided to take my business elsewhere. My friends and I have had to boycott this nail salon due to blatant discrimination. Michelle, the manager, treats customers differently based on their skin color, and the owner, Jen, seems to condone this behavior. It’s unacceptable.
The cleanliness of the salon is also a serious issue. The bathroom is filthy, and there’s a persistent moldy smell throughout the space. On my last visit, I even noticed my nail tech swatting away bugs while working. That’s not something you expect when paying for a relaxing experience.
On the bright side, David’s massages are amazing—truly life-changing. If you do go, I recommend asking for him. However, as much as I value his skills, the salon needs to make some major changes. Treat all customers with respect, clean up the space, and improve overall hygiene if you want to keep people coming back.
To this salon: Do better by your Black customers if you want to keep earning their green money. Until then, I’ll be spending mine elsewhere.
