CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial Lufkin- Emergency Room - Lufkin Riley Banning: My sister is sick, we waited in the waiting room for a good 20 minutes until they finally called us to a room. They simply checked her nose, throat, and ears and said they needed to do swabs on her. They sent us back to the waiting room, and we’ve been waiting here for a good 30 minutes. With barely any patients in the waiting room, this really should not take this long. Does it really take this long for swabs? do better.
Angelina Surgical Associates - Lufkin Larry Hamlett: Absolutely horrible place to take someone you care about. My mom had breast cancer and they did a mastectomy and removed some of her lymph nodes. But they didnt get all of them. She had to have another surgery to remove the lymph nodes they didnt get on the first try. A pet scan would have been a good place to start before doing the first surgery to make sure you dont just cut on someone blindly. Then after the second surgery I took her to the office to get her drains removed, we were late by 37 minutes because I had to remove a downed tree limb across our county road. The receptionist was absolutely rude and said that we would have to reschedule at a later date. No!!! She has drains that have to be removed!! So I came back home and removed them myself. Completely unacceptable behavior for some giving patient care after a botched surgery that they caused. I do believe we will be speaking to an attorney.
