Monica Poole: Victor Simmons, Sr. did an excellent job in painting& improving the grounds of this historic church. A new, beautiful marble statue was installed. I believe the original has his late grandfathers name on it, Mr. Turner Simmons. He was one of the founders, along with his spouse Mrs. B. Barrett Simmons. I have fond memories of both. Her smile was contagious.
