1 /5 kalliope sirkel: I visited this salon with my sister to get our nails done for my baby shower this weekend, and unfortunately, it was a extremely embarrassing and disappointing experience. We both requested the same dip manicure with the exact same design on our ring fingers. While my sister’s nail tech did a great job and finished her design in minutes, my nail tech struggled and repeatedly wiped it off to start over. I completely understand that not every tech specializes in designs, and I remained patient, but instead of acknowledging the difficulty, she turned the situation into a joke among her coworkers.
As I sat there, multiple staff members laughed while looking at my nails and carried on a conversation that felt as though they were making fun of the design she was attempting. At one point, I had two different techs grabbing at my hand simultaneously while pushing each other’s hands away, making me feel increasingly uncomfortable. As a pregnant woman excited to enjoy this experience with my sister before a big event, being laughed at by multiple staff members was incredibly disheartening. Finally, she gave up and had my sister’s nail tech complete the design.
To make matters worse, the checkout process was unclear and frustrating. Despite getting identical sets of nails, we were quoted two different prices for the design. On top of that, we were charged an unexplained additional fee labeled as a “manicure,” even though no extra services were provided. In total, we paid $170 + tip for two sets of nails—without any massage, extras, or anything beyond the basic service.
With so many other nail salons in the area, I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. Paying a premium price only to be treated poorly is unacceptable, and the lack of professionalism from the staff made this experience incredibly disappointing.
