1 /5 Rachael Martinez: Most of the staff was friendly and as helpful as they probably could be. I have gone to the er here 4 times over a 2 month period, with different and worsening symptoms. At first I was throwing up constantly and couldn’t keep anything down. After 2 months (and I was seeing my pcp, but waiting for appointments and referrals, etc) I was extremely dizzy, having trouble walking on my own, and I was afraid to go back home because I literally felt like I was dying. It kept getting sent home. There were a few providers who were extremely rude, basically telling me that I was lying, or that my symptoms weren’t real. The last time I went in I was having NEW hearing and vision issues, which I had never had before, along with constant vomiting, I hasn’t been sore to keep food down properly for months, difficult walking due to extreme dizziness. I got sent home again. At this point I didn’t know how long I would survive, things had gotten very serious. Soon after that, I lost my ability to walk or stand at all, and called an ambulance. They took me to a different hospital where I was IMMEDIATELY admitted, and ended up staying for over a week while I was being tested and treated. Thank God I went to the other hospital finally, because Christus Spohn Shoreline was fully ready to just let me die at home.
