Camp Ford Historical Park - Tyler (TX)

4 /5 Wade Lovorn: Love to stop and learn on our trips. No buildings, but many informational plaques at the entrance and on the walking trail that takes you around the site where the POW Camp once stood. No fees.

4 /5 Eric Larsen: Considering the size of the city of Tyler this park is pretty accessible no matter where you are. I enjoyed visiting and was glad I did. Fascinating history. Take a walk and read about the area.

3 /5 Christie Merrifield: Free. Great short hiking trail. Needs some TLC. Signage is faded. Trails and parking areas are not cut back. Lots of poison ivy.. Signs of vandalism.

4 /5 Patricia Dillon: There is an asphalt pathway that has crumbled into gravel but still walkable, though not wheelchair accessible. Along the pathway which runs through the park, signs provide information about the forts history and details about life there. Admission is free and there is adequate parking.
