Bobbi Marie Heisley: There is no longer a wooden play area. Im going to assume that the storm took a toll on it and they changed it into this. This is pretty cool theres a lot of kids here. I was looking forward to playing on the wood. It looks like its a big maze. You dont see many wood playgrounds anymore. They need to come back. From the picturea, it definitely needed an update.
Tiffany Vandivort: On a family roadtrip and decided to detour here and so glad we did! Plenty of shaded areas, well maintained small playground and the splash pad was great bonus. Little and simple restrooms but in working condition and very clean.
Prabin Kharel: I recently explored a spot very close to Tyrrell Park, and it turned out to be such an amazing experience! The area features a charming small botanical garden, a peaceful fountain, and a lovely pond tucked away at one end of the park. There’s even a golf course for those who enjoy a game in a scenic setting.
What really stood out to me was the viewpoint at the far end of the park—you can spot alligators and a variety of bird species from there. It’s a great place for wildlife lovers and photographers alike.
One of the best parts was the walking trail that loops around the swamp area, stretching about 3 to 4 miles. Walking through it, I had the rare chance to see alligators up close in their natural habitat. The whole vibe of the place is calm, exciting, and perfect for hanging out with friends or just enjoying nature on your own.
Definitely recommend this hidden gem if you’re around the Tyrrell Park area!
Jo Pilc: I really wanted to see this museum. Not easy to find but we got there during the advertised opening hours to find it locked. Tried phoning, no information just an answer phone. Person in the next building said to us the opening hours are very random and sometimes there is a notice outside saying when they will next be open and sometimes there isn’t. No information on the day we got there and disappointed not to be able to see what sounds like a good museum. Dear Edison Museum, please put up-to-date information on your website and phone line to avoid wasted journeys, and enable interested people to arrive on a day you are actually open.
Pleas Evans: I went on a photography tour and this was absolutely beautiful and sacred. It didnt feel right taking pictures even though I did. Everything architecturally was intentional and a confession of faith. As a Lutheran I cant confess to everything the building confesses. However as a lover of theology I can respect it and understand the inclusion. The decon present was friendly and knowledgeable. Thank yall for allowing us to visit.
Bobbi Marie Heisley: This is formally imagination zone. Its really nice. Tons of kids. I was looking forward to playing on the wood. You dont see many wooden playgrounds anymore. They need to make a come back.
