5 /5 Elda Barrios: I went to Aracely’s Beauty Salon after reading some good reviews on their page. My daughter wanted a haircut to even out her hair and take away her split ends. Aracely, the owner was wonderful!! She took her time to explain and teach my daughter how to use the iron on her hair so it won’t look frizzy and damaged. The haircut was done perfect and she gave her a great trim just like she wanted. We couldn’t believe our eyes on how shiny my daughter’s hair looked after she straightened it using the right technique. She also recommended some great products to keep her hair looking healthy. Aracely is very experienced and we couldn’t make a wiser decision in going with her. I’m going back next weekend for some highlights for me! Hands down the best salon I’ve gone in a big while. Try it out! You are going to love it!

1 /5 Karen Zuniga: My experience at aracely’s beauty salon was absolutely terrible. The worker seemed mad i came with wet hair and when she blowed dried it she did not brush my hair and just started parting it while it was tangled. Everything she did hurt me, those 2 or 3 hours i was in so much pain and i know i should have spoken up but the way she pulled my tangled hair she should have known and even when i did tell her it hurt she did not go gentler at all. I really did want to walk out but its for my quince…it ruined my morning and my curls didn’t even last the night. The way she pulled my hair was like she had something against me, my head was literally throbbing. Your mad im young and your not or what? My eyes started tearing up by how bad she was doing my hair and i started to cry once my mom asked if I was okay. And taking off the hair we realized how messy and tangled she had left everything. Not to be a karen but if it wasnt so bad i wouldn’t have said nothing. 150 for that?…. I hope you get karma.

Nomas Maximiliano: MAX SPOT This means I absolutely recommend this establishment. When I moved here i must have visited over a dozen barbers. Wow i cannot believe they give some people a license. Well lo and behold 281. From the moment I walked in I was in heaven. Clean. People were friendly. Well I did what I always do at a barber. I say in his leather chair and said go. A spray here. One there. A few exploratory questions later he was snipping away. When he was done I couldnt have berm happier. Thats whay Im talking about. Just a warning, the prices are fair and the work is notable so there are some occasions you may have to wait. However, that is only during rushes. Its worth it. Ill see you there.

VIntage Marcelino: On everything, I experienced my worst haircut ever. I got there and asked for a low fade but the guy said i can do a mid drop instead and i let him do it. “mid drop” more like a high drop. He basically cut the whole sides and back of my head all around with the same clip or blade.Cut with scissors on top which was very average at best. One side of the edge up wasn’t straight.Above my ear as well you can still see a line where he started to go with the razer. He didn’t. now what he was doing and he was in hurry because he was constantly checking his watch.Charged me 20$ by the way for a mid drop fade with the edge up. TERRIBLE. Wouldnt recommend for guys or girls to come here and get any type of fade.

I asked for curtain bangs and this lady that cut my hair literally gave me above the eyebrow bangs and I have curly hair… I showed her a picture of a girl with curly hair that had long curtain bangs and she still proceeded to cut my hair over my eyebrows. She then proceeds to say everything has a solution and wanted to cut my bangs even shorter than what they already were. I normally come and they charge me $15 and she charged me $20 for a service that wasn’t even good. I’ve cut my hair at my house and they’ve come out better than this, never coming here again. I’m not the person to leave reviews but this was so bad.

Paula Soto: Not thrilled with my daughter’s haircut. I asked for 3 inches off and layers. The lady did not seem very experienced. Also the wait was long with only one person there when I arrived and 3 others already sitting. My daughter’s hair does not look like it has layers and the sides are not even. I did not ask for her to fix it because if she can’t tell that it does not look nice, I was worried that she might make it worse. I will not go back. I do not recommend this location on McColl in Edinburg.
