5 /5 Darren Ricketts: You have to eat here! Super clean restaurant, exceptional service, and a plentiful menu, all cooked to order. Doug is former military and now a "local," hes doing it all! Theres dogs, burgers, meatballs and more. This place is well worth the stop. Eat lovingly prepared local food! Badger Nation! Eat Lampasas... I added a video to share my delightful ongoing experiences. I eat here all the time. Its not what you think of when you think of Dawgs. Its not well marked so you can miss it, but its worth turning around for if you do.

5 /5 Stephanie Dunlap: We were passing through the area around lunch time and couldnt resist stopping by to feed my husbands Chicago dog obsession. Its so rare to find a place with authentic Chicago dogs. It was absolutely wonderful. Awesome customer service, the owner is so nice. We will be back the next time were passing through Lampasas!

5 /5 Kristi Beber: We ate hot dogs at this location a year ago when it was another restaurant and were disappointed. Hearing it had changed owners and was revamped, we decided to stop in. Really glad we did! This place is the real deal for a great hot dog. My husband and I both had a Chicago dog and shared chili cheese fries. My husband also had the Maxwell Street polish. Didnt get a picture of it as it was consumed immediately! He loved it. The owner of the restaurant takes a lot of pride in ensuring all his food is purchased from Chicago when possible. His attention to the details of the food he serves shows. All the flavors were perfect. I grew up in Las Vegas eating at a Chicago Dog restaurant owned by a family that had brought the love of a Chicago dog to Vegas. They made the papers regularly, had hundreds of famous people frequent their restaurant, and won awards for authenticity over the years while carrying on a Chicago tradition. Western Avenue Dawgs was right there in flavor and quality. Well driveline be going back.

5 /5 Kurt Butterfield: I had the Italian Beef sandwich. The hot peppers were hot, but not crazy. I got the au juis on the side, and it was great. 1/2 lb of fries were thick cut. Drinks are in bottles. Nice local business.
