We got the Big Bird Platter with Nashville Hot and BBQ-flavored chicken tenders, and everything was seriously on point, period. The tenders were flavorful, juicy, and had that perfect hot-chicken kick without being all heat and no taste. We also tried the Sweet Potato Fries, the Crinkle Fries, and the Elote side, and let me tell you—those sides did not feel like an afterthought at all. And the service? Incredible. Our server was awesome and went out of his way to explain what Elote was, and he even gave us a free sampler to try. On top of that, he didn’t charge us for the drinks, which was genuinely so kind and made the whole experience feel extra welcoming. Highly recommend Urban Bird Hot Chicken if you’re in the area—especially if you’re shopping at the San Marcos Premium Outlets and you’re looking for Halal food that actually tastes amazing.

The sweet potato fries were tasty but need to be cooked a bit crispier. The food was excellent. Two jumbo tenders - one lemon pepper and one mild. Wait time was adequate. They serve good margaritas too.

5 /5 Aiyubur Rahman: Urban Bird Fried Chicken is a must-try in downtown San Marcos. Their chicken tenders are some of the best I’ve had—juicy, flavorful, and seriously spicy (in the best way). From bold seasoning to extreme heat, the flavor range is legit. Prices might seem a bit higher than average, but for boneless tenders and that quality, it’s worth it. I usually pair mine with a drink or milkshake to cool off. Bonus: they’re Halal certified, which makes it even better. Highly recommend!

5 /5 Jenika Jordan: Good Ole flavorful fried bird! Got lemon pepper strips with waffles. The waffles are delicious,soft and little crispy, the added syrup made a nice touch to the whole meal. The Tijuana street fries were amazing! The buffalo mac fries were good as well. Im usually not too fond of buffalo cause of its vinegar flavorful profile but this was tolerable! Also dont sleep on their margaritas. Its got a little kick to it!
