5 /5 Jessica Hellerew: Walking into Tumble 22 was like walking into your favorite place--fun design, personable staff and kick ass chicken! We had the chicken bites & the Lil OG with Mac & Cheese as well as their special the Rangoon Royale. As always--Excellent! Really wanted to try the pecan & chocolate cream pie, but we were stuffed after our entree! Jack did an outstanding job making us feel welcome, explaining the menu as it was our 1st time, and the food was cooked perfectly. This may just become my go to chicken joint in San Marcos!

5 /5 eatwithjarco: Absolutely phenomenal experience at the new Tumble 22 in San Marcos! The chicken sandwich was perfectly crispy with just the right level of heat. The dark meat 1/4 was juicy and flavorful, and the white meat was tender. The deviled eggs and dirty fries, and honestly, they could be meals on their own. The deviled eggs had just enough kick to keep things interesting, and the fries were next-level with all the toppings. The mac and cheese was ultra creamy and rich. Southern comfort food at its finest. And the margarita? Strong, fresh, and balanced. The staff was super friendly, the service was fast, and the vibe is fun and relaxed. Can’t wait to comeback!

2 /5 Josh C: We tried tumble 22 in San Marcos tonight. This place has a lot of potential. The dining room is amazing. Our waitress was great and very attentive. The food has great flavor. We ordered two OG sandwiches (one ordered plain and one without pickles) and a Korean bbq sandwich. My son got a shake. We also got a couple drinks from the bar. Everything came quick. The food when served as ordered was amazing. So why only two stars? This review would be five if we didn’t have a couple issues. First my wife’s lemonade had lip stick on the glass. Then my wife’s sandwich was supposed to have everything but pickles but it came plain with just a bun and a chicken patty. They corrected both with no issues but when they fixed her sandwich her fries were cold. We didn’t expect anything free but we were surprised that management didn’t come and at least apologize. The restaurant wasn’t that busy at the time so it would have showed they cared about so many mistakes. One mistake is ok but everything my wife ordered wasn’t right. The waitress was amazing so we don’t think she did anything wrong. The computer showed she entered our order correctly. We’ll try it again but hopefully it will be better next time.
