5 /5 Dwayne Rolniak: It’s been a few weeks since I last had H-E-B Texas barbecue, and somehow I forgot just how ridiculously good that brisket is. One bite in and—boom—instant reminder. Juicy, tender, piled high on a toasted bun… I added coleslaw and went full Texas-size. Honestly, I almost needed a nap halfway through.
The brisket-and-pinto beans? Let’s just say they did not skimp on the brisket. Flavor for days, just the right amount of sauce, and I even topped it all off with a little extra spicy sauce because why not?
They had just opened at 11 a.m., and the service was excellent—shoutout to Desiree! Food came out hot, fast, and smelling like happiness.
I’m moving out of state soon, but I already know that the next time I’m back in Texas, this is my first stop. Five stars all
