The Shack - Seadrift (TX)

1 /5 Leslie Baker: Food was mediocre for a small town restaurant. We were in the restaurant by ourself. Food took a long time but we were patient. We ordered 3 meals and my two young daughters only had a side salad. We were not provided a paper copy of our bill. We paid and as we left realized it sounded like too much. But they close for an afternoon time and they had already locked the doors and would not answer the phone. We called again later and it Turns out the manager was our server added gratuity to our bill of 3 adults and two kids. Again the two young girls ordered a side salad and water. Whatever I guess. BUT we were not provided a paper receipt and we were not informed of the gratuity charge so we had already generously tipped her.

4 /5 Christopher Emerson: Was there in off hours, nobody but me. Took my order immediately, came out quickly, best bacon cheeseburger Ive had in a while. Fries seasoned and perfect. Looking forward to taking my wife.

3 /5 Derek Sexton: Quiet when we went in. The fried boudain was average. Salad that came with the meals were a little stale. The shrimp was cooked correctly and had a good flavor. The tea glasses were large and the waitress was on the ball with keeping us happy. Service has greatly improved since my last visit.

5 /5 Bejat McCracken: Service was stellar. Atmosphere was sweet, like being at grandma’s house. Food was fabulous. I’ll be back.

5 /5 Kathy Bowers: My husband & I have eaten there three times. My husband got each time frog legs. I have had crab cakes, oysters or fish. Very tasty! Service is excellent. No complaints!
