5 /5 Ashley: Set much enjoyed the brunch. Seating is somewhat limited but the aesthetic offers a variety of seating options. Tables are a bit close and you can easily overhear other customers conversations. I did have a reservation but for some reason two older gentlemen decided they would sit at our table despite having a reserved sign on it. Something to consider by staff. We ended up sitting some where else which was just as nice. Staff were very friendly. The avocado toast was good but should have some type of protein. I added a side of bacon. The bacon is thick cut and was a bit chewy like beef jerky. Portion size was great and enjoyed the cappuccino. They offer two choices for kids breakfast.

The moment we walked in, we felt the warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes this place so special. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable — they made sure everything was perfect without ever feeling rushed. The food was next-level. Fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Every dish tasted like it was crafted with real care and creativity. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in using high-quality ingredients. Our drinks were great, the pacing was smooth, and the entire meal felt elevated yet comfortable. The Gathery Cafe is such a gem in Bellville — cozy, stylish, and truly gourmet farm-to-table vibes. The food was definitely the highlight — I ordered a burger and some basil soup, both of which were flavorful and well-prepared. The burger was juicy, and the soup had a fresh, aromatic kick to it. That said, the ambience didn’t quite match the quality of the food. It felt a bit shallow or impersonal — like something was missing in the atmosphere to make it feel warm or welcoming. The service was okay but not particularly attentive. It felt a bit forced, like the staff were just going through the motions rather than genuinely engaging with guests. I’d still come back for the food alone, but I hope the team takes a little time to work on the vibe and encourage the staff to be a bit more cheerful and inviting. A more welcoming energy would go a long way in making The Gathery feel like a place you want to linger.

5 /5 Becky Werlla: Great lunch spot! Great burgers with some subtle flavors and the best homecut french fries. Fresh salad and good strong iced tea. Its always nice when a restaurant uses quality flatware! Good and friendly service, too.

4 /5 Cherish Stalnaker: If you going here make sure you have some time. Very slow. But while your wait be sure to check out the little shop area inside. The food tasted good when they finally got all of it to me. They did forget parts of my food order, twice. The building is cute and renovated nicely. And all the staff was friendly, just a little understaffed??
